Summary: No volume button, no flash button
Review: When you're talking and want to change the handset volume, you have to interrupt your conversation so you can look at the display, then press menu, scroll down to handset volume, and perform a few more steps to change the volume. Ridiculous. It needs a regular volume control. Same thing with call waiting. There is no flash button. You have to go through the menu system to switch to the waiting call.

Summary: Nice style, feature pack, no MUTE?
Review: I was very excited about this phone. My father in law has one of the older sets with several remote units and it is very nice. The added speakerphone functionality in this phone made it ideal for me since I do a lot of conference calls. Unfortunately after about an hour of toying with it the handset refused to further communicate with the base. Note that during that hour it worked fine all while my 802.11b was in use. I de-registered it and tried to re-register it. I turned off my 802.11b wireless system. I took it all over the house to check for interference. No deal, it would not communicate to the base.

Well, I was going to exchange it then while reading the manual that night I found out no mute on the speakerphone. WTF!? What good is a speakerphone without mute??? Every office phone I've ever had has a mute button.

Also a small complaint the power supply is designed as one large heat sink and as such gets very warm. I'm sure this isn't a fire hazzard, but it is something to think about.

So I returned it for a refund.

That was months ago. Today I ordered an 8825 seeing they finally put a real mute button on the base station! I have read good and bad reviews on its speakerphone so we shall see.

Summary:
+Awesome design
+Feature rich
-died within an hour (handset would not talk to base)
-Power adapter gets very hot

Summary: Disappointed Performance
Review: I received my Siemens 4215 today, as much as I tried to like it, and I am a bit of a gadget person, it is going back tomorrow. This phone does not live up to the hype, my old, cheaper (now broken) Panasonic 900 MHz phone worked much better than this more expensive model from Siemens.

The "mute button" is the most annoying feature for me, when a conversation is muted, the person on the other end of the line actually hears music, and I would hear nothing on my end - that is hold not mute! This 'mute' feature is not work going to work out for those long conference calls I need to make, where I normally mute my phone to listen.

The other problems with the phone is not so much a Siemens' problem, but a problem with the crowded 2.4 GHz bandwidth. This phone is full of static in the vicinity of an operating microwave oven. If you have an 802.11b wireless LAN at home you will hear a lot of clicking and static on the phone when your computer is transmitting signal.

Resist the hypes on this phone, The older 900 MHz phone is still a much better choice.

Summary: Good, but not great
Review: It is a good qualify phone, but it is not the best. No flash button that if you already used to have one. Can't operate the three way conference feature on my phone because of that. Good reception, with a difficult menu. One of the best feature I like about this phone is use the regular AA battery(rechargable).
You should consider this phone if you need a bit more privacy, because the speaker is also located in the handset.

Summary: Excellent Phone
Review: This thing is awesome. The only issue I had (and I noticed a number of other people had the same problem) was the line was EXTREMELY full of static. After being very disappointed and frustrated for 5 min, I switiched the phone cord to the one I was using with my old phone. STATIC GONE. The features are amazing (speakerphone workes fantastically), very easy to program, and extremely intuitive to learn the menu system. I strongly recommend this phone.

Summary: Everything EXCEPT Comfort
Review: `This phone is truelly amazing with all of its features. It even calls itself " The handset that has it all!" Well if it has it all, then why in the world would it not be headset compatible. It even comes with a belt clip. It's like they just forgot to add that feature when it went into production. The phone is much to hard and uncomfortable to hold up to my ear, or on my shoulder for any length of time. I am very frustated at having to return this phone because i have not seen any others with this many bells and whistles. If Siemens would have either made this phone more comfortable or had preferably added headset capability, I believe that it would be the best phone on the market. But without either of these, I am dissapointedly having to return this phone.

Summary: Don't buy this phone
Review: This phone is complete junk. I wouldn't use this phone if someone gave it to me for free. People who like this phone from other reviews think it looks cool (that's all I can gather). It has a bunch of features that are clumsy and annoying.
Cons
1. Are slow to get to (the menus and pushing buttons)
2. Voice dialing? what a joke. It isn't true voice dialing
3. The clarity was awful. It sounded like I was on a CB radio. One reason it might have been bad is because I have a 2.4GHZ wireless router; though my Panasonic sounds crystal clear.

Pros
1. Looks cool
2. They really tried with the features... tried...
3. Looks cool

Summary: Super Phone
Review: What a great phone! I love the speakerphone option and the interactive directories. It makes telephoning much easier and a phone number list virtually unnecessary. Great features. High-Quality sound. Tons of options. A very nice package.

Summary: Feature packed phone system.
Review: I purchased this 4215B with an additional handset for home use. I was primarily looking for a 2.4 Ghz phone with multi-handset capability, but was pleasantly surprised by the other useful features. Among my favorites are the voice dialing, which works very well, and the loud-and-clear speakerphone. The ability to have the system automatically adjust ringer volume according to time of day, is also a very thoughtful addition. For my use the phone is a perfect 5.

Summary: Mute function
Review: While a true mute function is not available, hold is. During a call, you can press the left arrow, which puts you into the intercom mode, which puts your caller on hold (with music). Then, to un-hold the call, just press the left function key (the symbol will be the back arrow).
