Review: I purchased this unit for my home office. I was in the mindset where I wanted a Fax machine and a copier and an expansion system with dialing on base and handset on base and three voicemail boxes and atleast one cordless phone with the expansion system. Oh and did I mention that I did not want to spend more than 100$. I waited patiently and got a brand new unit of this model with all the above features (including the cordless handset) for 99$ at STAPLES. The unit works great and I have no issues so far. The cordless phone and the base unit share the built in phone directory so you do not have to store numbers on all phones. Only one drawback is that to reach the number you have to do a page down --- you cannot hit '4' once to reach 'G' or '4' three times to hit the listings starting with 'I'. But, for 99$ I am not complaining. I have had this unit for six months now and have had no issues. Works like a charm. Since it was for 99$ I paid 20$ to staples and took their 3 year replacement guarantee so I am all set till 2007 atleast :).

Cheers

Summary: Sharp UX-K01 2.4 GHz Cordless Handset for UX-CC500 Fax
Review: I wish I could rate this phone in minus stars. I bought a refurbished fax/copier/answering machine and from day one the handset did not work. Since purchasing the unit (the base works fine), I have gone through 2 replacement handsets that didn't work either. I even purchased a new handset from another vendor and had to return it because it couldn't be programmed (which was one step ahead of the other 3 that couldn't be charged to get to the programming step.) I am still waiting for a working replacement from Sharp 3 months after buying the initial unit. A Sharp representative claims there isn't a global problem with this phone, but that the universe has obviously conspired against me to prevent me obtaining a working handset. Stay far away from this phone if possible.
