Summary: Great phone for the money
Review: I bought this phone after being told that Panasonic cordless phones were top of the line...bought one of them first and hated it; took it back and got this Motorola instead. I've had this phone for over two years and not had any problems with it, the sound quality is good, (love the volume control) and it has good range too. I like the lighted dial pad and backlit caller ID window. Did have to replace the battery after about a year and a half (recommend a NimH because it doesn't develop a memory). I haven't had any problems with the clarity of messages, although recently I have been unable to adjust the volume on the base to listen to them..that's ok, I prefer listening through the handset because its private. All in all for the money, this Motorola cordless is a good buy; I would definately buy another....I recently recommended this phone to my father....so I hope his is as good as mine has been.

Summary: Poor recording quality and static on the line
Review: I bought this phone because I wanted an all-in-one phone, caller ID, and answering machine. Initial reviews indicated it was a good choice. But my wife can't even understand the garbled messages people leave and the phone isn't even as good quality as an old 900 MHZ Panasonic KX-T3910H I've had for about 10 years. Truly disappointing for a brand like Motorola.

Summary: Almost OK
Review: I bought this phone several months ago on a recommendation. Well, it's a nice looking phone and the base is compact. I do like that it has a ringer on/off switch (many phones nowadays don't have that feature anymore). However, the quality of the reception is just awful! And changing the channel is manual. In addition, it is not very comfortable against the ear.

So, I'm back to the search for the perfect cordless phone....

Summary: Nice, but not quite what I need
Review: I like the phone. It looks great and seems like a winner from the start. The first month went well.. but I noticed that there were some sound issues. First thing to note: this phone is not digital. Secondly the volume is almost always too low. I don't know why. It just is. Lastly, the battery was great at first but now into its third month the battery is dying constanty no matter how much it is charged. I have had many many phones.. I am one tough taskmaster when it comes to phones.. this one doesn't quite hold up.

Summary: Not worth buying
Review: I now own the phone for about 1½ years and have been disappointed with it. After owning the first one for about 1 month, I noticed that when I dialed a phone number, sometimes I had to push the same number twice because it didn't go through the first time. The same thing happened when I redial or dialed the number using the memory dial; I could actually hear a number being skipped. Then I had to hang up and dial it again. Sometimes I had to try 2 or 3 times before it could dial the entire phone number successfully. After noticing this problem, I took the phone back and exchanged for another one. The second one worked fine for a few months and then the same problem started happening on the second one as well.

Second problem, the phone call would get disconnected for no reason when I was on the phone. At first I thought there is a problem on the phone line so I called the phone company to come check it out. But there weren't any problems on the phone line. Also when I talk on my other phone (AT&T phone that I owned for more than 15 years), I never have this problem.

Third problem, when the phone dials a number, the dialing is way too loud. Because of the first problem, I often have to really listen to the dialing to make sure all the numbers went through. But I have to keep the phone away from my ear because it's just too loud.

Fourth problem, something is definitely wrong with the electrical part of the phone when it charges the battery. Whenever I'm not using the phone, I always put the phone back to the base to recharge the battery. But sometimes I can only talk for 5 minutes before the low battery warning comes on. After changing the battery, the same problem will start again after just a few months with the new battery. Again, I never have this problem with my AT&T phone. I think I've only changed the battery three times within 15 years.

Well, I've been having pretty bad experience with this phone and I'm fed up with it. I'm buying another AT&T phone to replace this one.

Summary: Cordless Phone
Review: I originally bought this phone as a gift for a friend and fell in love with it -- so I bought one for myself too! It's a great value for the money (mine was less than half of the first one I bought). If you live in a 10-digit-dialing area (you have to dial the area code before the number) you won't be able to dial from the caller ID feature.

Summary: Searching for the perfect phone.
Review: I purchased this phone 2 months ago. I like the simplicity of changing the hour and time and accessing/deleting messages. However, Motorola needs to improve the quality of the volume. It's difficult to hear the other party and I can never find the right spot for the headset to feel comfortable on my ear. I do like the rubber grips and the caller I.D. function. It's fine for now, but the search is on for the perfect phone.

Summary: This phone is not good for a Motorola
Review: I really dislike this phone!! We bought it becasue it was a Motorola and figured that would assure us a higher quality - wrong!! It cuts out a lot of the time, the caller ID function has a lot of quirks compared to other phones I have used. The phone also sounds "tinny" a lot of the time. Everyone who comes over and uses it, comments on its bad sound quality. I would NOT recomend. WE are currently searching for a new one.

Summary: I saw this phone on Days of Our Lives, so it must be good.
Review: I was a little disappointed that this phone didn't come with a speaker, but that's a minor problem I blame myself for. In any case, the sound is great and the button lights come in handy during th A.M. hours.

Also, I think I figured out what the light on the top of the phone is for: battery life.

I have only two minor issues with this phone:

1. The volume is very limited.

2. The caller ID has a tendency to malfunction at times. There were several instances where someone called and an error message came up.

Summary: Wonderful cordless phone!!
Review: I'll make this short and simple by just stating that this is very good phone. I am absolutely thrilled with it. I get great reception, and I love the simplicity of the phone. Nothing complicated or "over-the-top" about it. The bottom line is if you are looking for a phone that is simple to use with a little style then this is the one.
