Summary: Good phone but not great
Review: Reading through the other reviews, I'd say the key issues are on the table . . .

I love the size (drops right in my pants pocket or clips on my belt), durability (doesn't seem to mind that I drop it occasionally :), and clarity/range (others can't tell I'm on a cordless).

Four things I don't like or feel need improved:
1) As noted by several, the volume doesn't get loud enough. I found that it helps alot when I push on the correct button to turn it up (the up button is on the left instead of the right which for some reason doesn't seem intuitive to me) but it is still way too quiet. I seem to say "what?" alot when I talk on it.
2) The beeping while on mute does indeed get very annoying on conference calls. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep :)
3) It needs a "HOLD" button like on my portable minidisc and CD player. The HOLD button should disable the HANGUP button ... seems I bump the HANGUP button when it is in my pants and I sit down.
4) There is no way it gets 6 hours on a recharge like it says. 3 hours tops.

Overall, this is a good phone, but not a great one. Yet. I'm sure the next generation will be much closer to great.

For those with exceptional hearing ... I say buy this fast. My kids (16, 18) love it.

Summary: I can't hear you!
Review: Good design, easy to use, but the lack of a functional volume feature makes this product an absolute failure....keep the packaging because you will be returning this item.

Summary: Great product, only 1 minus
Review: Excellent product, highly recommended. Only minus is when mute is on, unit constantly beeps. This can get rather annoying when on a long winded conference call. Besides that, great stuff!

Summary: it broke in less then a week
Review: This got really good reviews so I decided to pick one up... Now it is fair to say that I just picked a bad apple, and that this IS in fact a good phone. However, The microphone in my phone stopped working in less then a week even though I was very very carefull with it so as not to pull any wires ect. Other then that it seemed ok... But I was skeptical about Plantronics to begin with and Im sorry to say that they have lost my trust completely now.

Summary: Good Hands-Free Phone
Review: The CT10 is a good little phone. I did a lot of research before buying this phone and am satisfied with my decision to purchase it. The phone portion is very small, a bit larger than a pager, and easily clips on a beltloop. The headset is sturdy, well built and sounds really clear to callers.

There are a couple of problems with this phone though... *Headset volume does not go loud enough *When the headset jack into the phone moves it sometimes produces feedback *No caller-ID on unit

*Reception is average

Overall I would recommend this phone so long as you are not using it in a noisy environment. I've had mine for over six months now without problem.

Summary: Great headset, pity about the phone
Review: I have a CT10, and I'm very happy with the headset it came with (I'm about to buy another for my cell phone), but the actual CT10 phone is disappointing. It has trouble reaching through much of my wood-framed house and there is a perceptible hiss from the earpice when the phone is on. Even worse, when the phone is off but still set to answer calls, I can hear a periodic quiet-but-annoying click through the headset, presumably electronic noise from when the phone wakes up to see if it's got an incoming call.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: I am so disappointed with this phone for two reasons: the phone volume is very low and can not be adjusted and the mic often makes a high-pitched noise.

Summary: Great Phone for Everyone
Review: I bought this phone a little while ago from amazon and I have been pleased ever since. I'm a sixteen year-old and have an Honors class line up that requires me to do many assignments on the computer. The problem is that commonly I would be talking to someone about the assignment while typing it up so I constantly had a sore neck. Finally when the phone arrived my aches were relieved. I first noticed how small the unit really is, it's able to fit in my hand with my fingers wrapped around it and barely weighs anything. Also the headset is a very nice headset. It's light and comfortable, to the point where I am able to wear it 4+ hours long and not be in any discomfort. Other than that this is the best cordless phone I have seen, it's worth every dollar i spent.

Summary: Not perfect, but HANDS -FREE!
Review: Love this phone. I don't love the poppy-static-thing that happens a little too often, but I love being hands-free. I recently moved, and this handy little phone allowed me to pack and unpack while participating in endless conference calls (yes, it even has the all-important mute function). I can cook or work or workout or flip through a magazine while on the phone and not get a stiff neck.

I'm getting one for my mother this Mother's Day, so she can garden while on the phone. This may be one phone she doesn't leave outside!

Summary: I have no ulterior motive for writing this review...
Review: I stumbled upon this listing by accident, have read the other consumer's opinions on this product and am compelled to write my own review for interested purchasers.

I work for a company that sells these cordless headset telephones. They truly are "top of the line". Before we choose to market a product, we thoroughly investigate and "test drive" prior to adding that to our product line. Plantronics made the grade.

We have had terrific customer feedback about them. Having written that and having read the other's reviews, there HAVE been a small number of complaints about this cordless headset's performance. Those primarily being that there has been problems with their particular unit's outgoing volume.

We have accepted the returns of those faulty units and either reimbursed, credited or replaced them. As retailers for Plantronics, Plantronics the manufacturer has never given us any problem in immediately replacing the product, no questions asked. They offer incredible customer service and are a pleasure to conduct business with. My guess is that as with any electronic gadget or tool, occasionally few that malfunction pass through the cracks. In my experience however, these are few and far between.

The vast majority of our customers who have purchased these cordless headsets are EXTREMELY pleased and satisfied with their units. Too, due to the functionality of an pleasure with this product, many have ordered additional/extra units for individuals whom they didn't at first target for cordless headset use. We haven't had problems with these units wearing out or malfunctioning over time, either.

The only improvement which could be made in my opinion is that these should be outfitted for companies with multiple phone lines. I don't know however, if this can be achieved with a cordless. (Client companies of ours with multiple lines DO utilize these headsets, however for use with one line at a time. You cannot put one party on hold while you attend to another nor can you answer a second line.)

Cordless headsets aren't for everyone, but for those who may benefit from the convenience of and for the ergonomic benefits of, I wholly recommend Plantronic devices.
