Summary: can't hear
Review: This phone was very small. You could hardly dial the numbers. Also, you could not hear through the earpiece very good. The last phone I had a GE you could adjust the volume so you could hear better. I thought Plantronics would put out a much better product than this at this price. If you want a phone that you can hear on buy the GE that's what I did to replace this.

Summary: perfection
Review: It's perfect for my needs -- so tiny and lightweight. Never a problem hearing or being heard; headset is completely comfortable. The clothespin-type clip makes it simple/easy to attach to a shirtfront/neckline or move elsewhere while talking on the phone -- plus it is securely in place once placed (unlike others i've used) which makes it easy to prepare dinner, iron clothes, work in the garden, etc all while talking on the phone. I have a different brand in my summer place and after a few days there I TRULY realized what a wonderful phone this Plantronics one is!!

Summary: Great phone! Great customer service!
Review: I have had this phone for THREE years. I love it. In fact, I spent the last 6 months in a new apt, relying only on a cell phone, and I missed the plantronics headset phone terribly. If you suffer from neck problems -- aggravated by bending your neck to cradle the phone between your ear and shoulder -- you can't afford *not* to buy this phone. That said, I never would have spent $100 on myself for a phone. A friend who knew about my neck problems sent it as a gift. Three years later, it's the best gift I've ever received. The difference it makes physically is amazing. I spend hours on the phone, and doing so in a comfortable position that doesn't put strain on my neck alleviates all that neck pain. I recall thinking the volume on the phone was too low at first, and remember having difficulty figuring out how to increase it. Once I got that down, I had no problems with the volume. At some point, after I'd had the phone close to a year, I began to have a problem with some kind of buzzing. It probably had more to do with a move to NYC (where all cordless devices get a lot of interference) than with any defect in the phone. Nonetheless, with no hassle, plantronics sent me a new phone. They even re-started the warranty with the new phone, so that when I broke the headset on that one, they sent a replacement free. If this phone got sucked up in a tornado, I would pay the big bucks to replace it.

Summary: Great little headset phone but looking for better...
Review: I'm sharing my thoughts as I have really come to rely on customer reviews before I purchase. I've owned this phone for about a year for telework (it was $99 last year so now its cheaper) and I REALLY put it to hard use. I adore the small size (about 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" and about 2" thick), the clip-on hands-free ability and the nice comfortable headset with a mic that comes almost down to your mouth. It looks really hip and cool. The belt clip was the best I'd used but still had a tendency to fly off when I bent over so I wore a small gardener's tool belt and kept it in a pocket there (now THAT wasn't too hip and cool). The batteries held very strong for many hours and the signal was very good. Issues: I tended to feel the need to hold the mic right to my mouth. The fact that it does not have a digital screen keeps you from seeing who is calling or last numbers dialed, etc. Also, my hair easily tangled in headset when I took it off but that might be true for all headsets. And, the headset came apart a few times, but again, very hard use. Recently, the phone gave out completely (I really had been hard on it) - I think due to the headset. I could hear callers but they could not hear me. I was going to repair or reorder the same phone, but just now I ordered a Uniden TRUC 46 2.4 GHz Mini Cordless instead because even though it is more expensive and an unknown "test", it is smaller with a digital screen. In the meantime, if you buy this phone, even with my "issues", I don't think you'll be dissapointed (you probably won't put it to the grueling test I've put it through over the last year).

Summary: The Nice Design Roped Me In Twice
Review: It takes a might cruddy product to induce me to write one of these reviews. Plantronics has hit that low mark with this little beauty. I have severe neck and shoulder problems and a phone designed like this one is a necessity. Ones with earplugs make my ears ache.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the design! Small, comfortable. Clip-on the belt keypad. I could do anything while talking on the phone: wash dishes, dust the house, bathe the dog, etc. Gone were the neck aches.

Well, that convenience doesn't last long! I've purchased TWO of these phones in the past year and a half, and after about 6 to 7 months, things go downhill in a hurry. The connection where the headset meets the keypad starts shifting and making all kinds of horrid noises. "Screeching" is a description that is too kind. I've had listeners on the other end howl in distress! When it's not screeching, the feedback is horrible, and the echoing is beyond the pale.

Summary: poor quality phone
Review: I have had mine a little less than a year and in that time, at different locations. The hiss is constant, the volume is too low and not adjustable, the battery life is useless if you are on the phone all day as I am. Many times it just will not work unless it's sitting in the cradle, even at full charge. The beep while muted makes conference calling useless. Bump the plug for the headset and you receive a nice blast of static in your ear as well as the person on the other end. Unlike many other cordless models that tell you when the battery is low and lets you complete the call, this unit just shuts down, no warning, no chance to end the call.

For the price, there are many other brands out there that are by far a much better investment. I would recommend staying away from this one.

Summary: Poor quality for a high price
Review: Like many of the other reviewers, I found many problems with this phone. There was an audible hiss as I used the phone, even after I plugged it into different phone jacks. The headset cord needed to be jiggled to keep it from getting static crackles if I moved. The belt clip kept popping off whenever I wore it. And you certainly wouldn't want to use this phone for incoming calls since you have to fumble around with the headset and touchy cord connection. I prefer using my cordless phone with the headset I bought ...--the reception is clearer, the volume is easier to control, the phone stays clipped to my belt, and it cost less.

Summary: Not a good value
Review: I have a home office and bought this phone a few months ago. The headset is very cheaply designed and the volume is terrible. If you are near any noise at all you can't hear. Any time you bump the cord there is severe static. Then after about three months of use it broke completely. Just stopped working. This phone was so bad I feel lucky it didn't manage to actually injure me!

Summary: Beeps when on Mute (:<)
Review: The ct10 by Plantronics is great except for the beep, beep while on mute. I was told by the CO that you cannot disable the beeping. If you don;t need the mute button the phone is headset is great. I just purchased a Uniden TRUC46 headset which I'm testing which one I perfer. Any comments ?
