Summary: WORKS GREAT!
Review: after countless failures of cordless phones, I went with a name that puts out quality. This phone is simple, sounds great, and has a great design.

Summary: Great Phone - Great Price!
Review: I bought two other 2.4ghz phones that I returned, one a GE, one an off-brand named Curtis. Neither had decent reception in rooms away from the base station. The reception with this phone is excellent all over our rather large house. I have not had the problem, described in other reviews, with the mute button accidentally getting hit by your cheekbone, though I can see how it could happen, especially if you happened to have an overly large zit in the wrong place. The mute button beeps when you press it, though, so you should know.

Summary: Great phone replacement
Review: I had a Panasonic cordless phone. It lasted me a while, but the battery now needs replacement, since it can barely hold a charge. I could buy another battery for about $17, but why not spend a few more dollars and buy a whole new phone. I bought this phone. Just my luck, the phone uses the same battery as my old Panasonic (which means, expensive battery replacement). The battery type is 3.6V 600 mAh.

Somebody mentioned that when dialing, it makes no noise so you know it has been dialed. Actually, it does make noise through the receiver. However, if you dial at arm's length, you won't hear it.

One thing I did not like was the low ring tone. However, after opening and reading the manual, I found out that there were 2 different ring tones. Although they almost sound alike, one is louder than the other. Therefore that problem was quickly solved.

The volume has an up and down switch. When you reach maximum or minimum, a noticeable sound will tell you. I only mention this because my older Panasonic had one button to adjust volume. This was annoying because I forget how many volume adjustments there are and would go from loudest to softest if I miscount.

Since the phone operates at 2.4Ghz, it is known to interfere with wireless networks and a microwave. While I do not have a wireless network, I do have a microwave :). My microwave does not interfere with the phone. The microwave is about 25 ft. from the base (of phone).

Somebody mentioned the mute button. It is hard to press it, but just in case you do, the light on the upper right corner of phone starts flashing, indicating that mute is on.

Summary: Take a pass
Review: I have owned this phone for awhile. The range is worse than my 900 MHz phone and the battery cover keeps slipping off. Good look and feel to it but that's it.

Summary: Good Value for the $$$$
Review: I read the review by An Electronics Fan from Paonia, CO, and started laughing so hard! It's sooo true that mute button on this phone is in the wrong place. I kept pressing it with my cheek!!! The key pads do not light up, and you don't hear the tone you usually hear when you press the numbers. It doesn't cradle well so it's not comfortable for someone who stays on the phone for long. However, the receoption is much better than my old Sony cordless that was 900 Mhz. The sound is clear and I do like the style of this phone. It is cheap, and that is probably the best feature of this phone. :-)

Summary: Great phone replacement
Review: It wasn't easy finding a good quality phone that didn't have 47 features that I'd never use. I have a lot of those kind of phones in various drawers around the house. The ones with all the buttons that I don't know how to use without fumbling through a file cabinet full of old manuals.

This is about the best cordless phone I've ever used, and I've had a lot of them over the years. It's tough, it's comfortable to hold, even on the longest conversations, and there is almost no static or noise on the line. My only complaint is that the rubber grips that make the phone so comfortable, are a pain in the neck to keep clean. (I talk a lot while I cook, so the phone is constantly covered in flour and butter.)

If you like your phone simple and durable, this is the one.

Summary: I like the phone
Review: Nice phone. Looks and feels great. Just some problems. Mute button is definitely in the wrong place and when you dial a number you cannot hear any sound so one doens;t know if it has actually got pressed or not. Otherwise its small and works very well. Has a great battery life. Hasn't died even once and I keep it off the charger all the time.
