By utilizing the 2.4 GHz band, the KX-TG2216RV has clearer reception at greater distances than some older phones operating on a lower band. Supporting caller ID with call waiting, the KX-TG2216RV has a memory of up to 30 numbers, and comes with an internal phone book that you can program with 50 additional entries. With the display-and-dial feature, you can easily dial numbers from the internal phone book or from caller ID memory, while the menu driven handset and LCD screen make it easy to access the phone's other features. The last five numbers dialed are stored in redial memory, and a flash button lets you switch between incoming calls (with call waiting service) and cancel temporary tone dialing or mute. Handset and ringer volume controls are provided, and you can select among six ring tones. The KX-TG2216RV is wall-mountable via an included adapter, and a headset and belt clip are provided for hands-free operation. The NiMH battery has a five-hour talk time (11 days on standby), and a low battery indicator lets you know when to return the handset to the base for recharging. A page/handset locator button helps you find misplaced handsets, while a voicemail indicator lets you know when you have received a message.
