Review: In need of a second cordless in our household with a different ringing sound than our panasonic kx-tc1866b 900 mhz gigarange (which works great!) i wasted 2 days researching what other phone to get. listening to all the bad reviews the siemens got i shyed away from my original plan and bought an ibm phone (and returned it...), then the uniden tru 346 (which also bit). Both phones had terrible reception compared to our panasonic, and were basically useless when i went a foot outside of the apartment. Now i am at home with my brand new siemens and so far i am pleased to have found a phone that matches up with the panasonic. One can spend hours talking about all the possible features a phone can have but what really matters to me is how it sounds, feels and whether it still works when i'm outside on the roofdeck. i'm surprised about all the bad reviews. the sound is good as well as the range, the look and feel the best i ever experienced. however, i have to agree with so many other reviewers that the whole 2.4 GHz range is one big marketing scam. our panasonic still has the best reception range of all phones i tried. the range of the siemens is sufficient though (100ft), and unless i experience new problems in the future i am very content with this product.

Summary: Reception problem solved
Review: Another reviewer wrote "Excellent Phone! Here's how to solve reception" describing the proper method of reseting this phone and it's extensions. When I encountered reception prolems that were not solved by resetting I called Seimens 800 number. Their imediate response was that the trouble was in the base unit and that they would replace it. Shipping to take 4-5 buisness days actually took only the week-end. Return shipping lable for the defective unit was included. My system now works great, clear reception and I can use it beyond my property line, some 600 feet from the base. You can't ask for better service and I can now enjoy features on my home/office phone that were only available on my cell phone before. Buy it, you'll love it.

Review: I had purchased one of these phones with the hopes of later adding handsets to other rooms. I thought it had some really nice features. Unfortunately about 1 out of every 6 calls made on the phone would break up and the person on the other end would not be able to hear. I returned the phone for another one. Again it had the exact same problem as the first one. I called siemens tech support, but they were unable to help. Bottom line save your money and your time and don't buy this junk.

Summary: Siemens 2415 Cordless phone review
Review: I have had a number of cordless phones, and this is one unit to avoid. The answering machine function works good, but my unit had poor sound quality on both ends of the conversation. Called Siemens to complain and they agreed to replace the phone, which they did by sending a postage paid mailer. What they do not tell you up front is that they send a refurbished unit instead of new. So now I have a refurbished phone instead of new for 169.95. The display on the handset on the refurbished unit went out, so they agreed to send a factory new handset to replace it. The one they sent is also a factory refurbished unit! The sound quality is not as good as some other phones, such as Uniden or Panasonic. Save youself some grief and check out another brand.

Summary: ok - but doesn't last
Review: I have the base with an extra hand set. I have been using them for about 1 year. The battery life is ok and the range is ok as well. The voice clarity is good on both ends. The telephone has a lot of features and is its functionality is well thought out. However, the handsets are not very comfortable to hold and talk on for any length of time. The handset is flat so it is easy to accidentally hit any of the buttons. I have four kids so the phones get a lot of use and because of that the buttons sometimes take a couple of presses to register. I am looking for another cordless because of the units just wore out. For the cost of these units I would have expected a longer life.

Review: I have had analog phones reach farther. I cannot walk next door without this thing breaking up. I would hold out for 4.8 GHz or whatever comes out next.

Summary: Don't waste your money on this one
Review: I bought 1 and thought it was defective, so I went back and got another one. It does the same thing as the first one, about once every 5 or 6 calls the other person complains of this echoing. In other words they can only hear every other word I say. I called their tech support, they instructed me to unplug it for 10 minutes to reset it. I found this odd because it is only 2 days old and wouldn't it being fresh out of the box count as leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes. So if I have to unplug it every 2 days for 10 minutes to reset it, it must be junk. If I could give it 0 stars I would, but I have to give it 1. At least it looks cool.

Review: The reception on this phone was very poor from the day I bought it. There was a continuous sound of static in the background when I used it in the exact location from where my 900 Mhz phone works fine. After the service staff couldn't help me, I returned the product
