Summary: Lousy product
Review: I've had this phone with several extensions for more than a year now, and boy is it a disappointment. Callers to one extension constantly complain about poor reception; tunnel sounds are a great way to describe it. Even after I replaced the extension with a new one, I still had the same problem.
Caller-id, which has always been spotty, has been completely unreliable over the last 6months. At first I thought my neighbors installed a WiFi network, but a recent wardrive found few signals.Customer service, though friendly was completely useless, and refused to do anything about the phone. Bottom line: Siemens never again. Great design, lousy brand.

Summary: For a good phone look elsewhere...
Review: I bought the 2415 base unit with an extension handset. From day one, the extension hasn't worked well at all. After about five minutes of talking my girlfriend claims that I start to sound like a dolphin, chirping underwater. This problem, by the way, happens everytime I use the the extension, which I now use to pick up calls initially and then go and get the other handest from the base. Kind of annoying. I tried Siemens suggestions to re-register the phones but it didn't work at all. I would look elsewhere before buying any siemens products.

Review: My fiancee bought this for me a year and 1/2 ago for my home office. Too bad we invested a few hundred dollars in extra handsets with most of them sounding underwater. How depressing!

Summary: Horrible Product
Review: I have purchased this product with three additional handsets. Currently, I have one handset left, and the base/handset left. The handset that I keep on the base does not show incoming calls anymore. This all happened within two years. The other handsets just died. They would not hold a charge, even with new batteries. They would get hot, and just die. It's a shame, because when these phones worked, I enjoyed the fetures very much. For the price I paid, it should have lasted longer than that. In fairness, the answering machine works well, but what good is it without the handsets? Also, when I'm on the remaining handsets, it sounds like I'm calling from a chopper. Popping, and cracking. I would really hope that no one wastes their money on this product. Siemens just shouldn't be in this market.

Summary: Great Design but...
Review: I bought this phone 1 year and 3 months ago. I loved the simplicity of the design and ease of functions, until the keys started sticking. Some of the buttons have to be pushed again and again before registering, which is not only frustrating but makes it impossible to enter numbers on calls requiring you to do so to navigate menu selections (like calling Siemens customer care!).

Summary: Siemens 2415 2.4ghz phone
Review: I bought this product about 1.5 yrs ago. During that time I have experienced frequent breakups in conversations. These breakups do not appear to be related to low battery power nor interference from appliances. It has become very annoying, to the extent that I am shopping for another 2.4ghz phone system. Any ideas?

Summary: Complicated and Not Reliable
Review: We've had this phone for about a year, and have regretted buying it. The system settings, such as month, day, time, etc., are all password protected, and there's no way to disable the password, which must be remembered every time the power goes out or daylight savings changes. Leaving an outgoing message is also unreasonably complex, and involves finding a menu which is not accessed from the menu button! Go figure. Other choices in programming the phone are similarly complex and not intuitive. The keypad buttons have recently begun failing to respond to the touch. Lately, after replacing the rechargeable batteries recently, the phone has begun to drop the volume of the outgoing voice message part way through a call. The store I bought this from, Fry's Electronics, recommended against it because of the large number of returns, and sure enough, they were right. Don't buy this phone.

Review: I bought this phone just over a year ago. When it worked, it worked well. Then it stopped working, out of warranty of course. What a waste of money!

Summary: Oh, what a lemon!
Review: I bought the 2415 base unit and 3 additional handsets last year. One handset was defective and had to be replaced immediately. The answering machine is ok, but has no display for the number of messages. That was the good news. The bad news -- NO ONE CAN HEAR ME. People constantly complain that it sounds like I am underwater. This occurs on 3 of the 4 phones. If I shake the phone, the reception gets better -- for about 3 minutes, and then I have to shake it again. Frequently, the base unit fails to communicate properly with the handsets and it continually displays the message "Searching" while the phone rings in perpetuity. The recharge contacts with the unit are awful, and frequently the battery goes dead even having been on the charger all day. I have two other phones in the house (a Sony and a Uniden 900mhz), and have never had any of these problems with either, so I know it's specific to the Siemens units. My advice -- keep looking for another brand!

Summary: a ba....d experience
Review: i'd suggest going for a basic phone rather than one which you cannot trust, i bought this phone thinking it would last me a while, the speaker on the handset has gone bad, the buttons are hard to press sometimes. Don't go for the facilties the phone offers, they should also work go for anything but this, SIEMENS [stinks]!!!! save yourself the hassle don't buy this product.There are better phones for half the price.
