Summary: Nice phone, though not what I was expecting...
Review: I'm pretty much in agreement with the other reviews, this phone is pretty nice. It's light weight and has good reception. I've got the base for the phone, a WiFi router, and a BlueTooth adapter all within 4 feet of each other and they aren't interfering each other at all.

The part about "not what I was expecting" I only just discovered tonight, after having the phone for a few weeks, I probably wouldn't have caught on if I hadn't decided to leave a review. :) The phone I received isn't the one I ordered, I got a TRU C56. I'd wondered why I didn't get the 2nd headset I'd read about, but chalked it up to marketing language and ignored it. Now that I double checked my box, I found that it was a 56 instead of the 46. The only difference I can figure out between the two of them is that the 46 comes with 2 headsets, and the 56 comes with 1 headset that's different and has the ability to add handsets to it if you want. The 56 has a headset that has speakers on both ears, so maybe this is a slightly better headset, dunno.

As far as the rest of the phone though, it seems the same, and I'd give this unit a thumbs up. Spend the few bucks more and go with one of these Unidens instead of some cheapy model, you'll be happy with it.

Summary: Great phone except jack connector shorted out in 3 months.
Review: No complaints about the phone except that it's now useless after 3 months because of poor engineering with the headset jack. The jack appears to have 'shorted out' or lost a contact with the electronics so the headset goes dead (regardless of what headset used) and only intermittently works.

Rated 1 star for poor durability under NORMAL use (was never dropped or abused). All the features in the world are useless if it doesn't work!

Summary: Smaller than I thought, better than I'd hoped
Review: The most striking thing about this phone is its size! While researching on the net I couldn't find any reference to its dimensions, even on Uniden's website. It is literally the size of a credit card and 1/2" thick. It's smaller than any cell phone I've seen, and fits easily in any pocket (it also comes with a belt clip).
Performance is first rate (which I have come to expect from Uniden) although the headsets that come with it could be better (they're a bit muffled). I use a headset I bought previously to use with my cell and it works great. It has every function I could want including redial of the last three numbers called (haven't seen that before).
Range is not quite as good as the full sized, Spread spectrum 900 Mhz Uniden I had been using (i.e. it's quite good but not phenomenal) but I believe that's a function of the 2.4 Mhz technology. I have had no problems with interference even though I am 4 miles across a body of water from a navigation radar that has interfered with other wireless devices.
Minor negatives: the mute button must be pressed for a second to kick in; that makes it less effective as a cough button, which is what I use it for. And all the buttons require a firm press, which because of the tiny size makes dialing a bit tedious, but keeps you from accidently pressing a nearby button or from its being activated by getting squeezed in a pocket.
All in all, I'm very impressed with this phone, especially in light of the very reasonable price.

Summary: not as advertised -- not the TRUC46
Review: This is a TRUC56 phone which does not come with 2 headsets and the one headset that it comes with is not adjustable like the TRUC46 phone. I ordered this from Amazon and sent it back immediately with this explanation. I can't believe that this is still marketed on this website the wrong way. However, the return process was very easy through Amazon. I have the TRUC46 phone and it's great!

Summary: like wearing flip-flops with a cocktail dress...
Review: This is an elegant little unit with many attractive features. However, the headsets supplied with this phone give low quality sound and are awkward and unpleasant to use. I substituted the earbud I usually use with my cellphone and the sound quality was much more acceptable. At this price, I would expect decent headsets to be included.

Summary: 2 phones in a row didn't work!
Review: This is the second Uniden phone I have purchased and I love them both. They are easy to set up and use. Can't go wrong with this product!

Summary: Life Saver
Review: Very pleased with this unit. Why?:
1) Best of all it is slim, not a bulky unit like others units I had, which makes it easy to carry around and/or use the with the handy belt clip.
2) The range is great around the house and I have not encountered any static at all during use.
3) Headset is comfortable and no issues listening to callers or being heard speaking.

With the amount of calls that go in and out weekly this unit is great for ease of comfort and everyday use.

Only drawback if you have big hand and fingers the keypad may be a bit small.... as of that highly recommend it.

Thanks

Summary: Don't buy TRUC46 if you use a laptop with a Wireless Card
Review: When I bought this phone I had to decide between TRUC46 and Plantronics CT10. I decided for the Uniden because it looked nicer, lighter and the 2.4GHz is newer technology. Well, the problem is that this is the same frequency used by the 802.11 Wireless Cards. So, to make it simple, if you have a laptop with a Wireless Card (or intend to have one) do not buy 2.4GHz technology phones. Keep using the 900Mhz stuff.
BTW, I called Uniden and they confirmed this story and told me there is nothing that could be done. I wish I had seen an warning anywhere.
