Review: This is a great phone, very clear sound, easy to navagate functions. Highly recommended after trying the best Panasonic and Sony have to offer and no interference whatsoever with my Orinoco wireless network.

Review: This phone has great package appeal and makes remarkable claims all over the box "Increased Clarity", "Less Interference", "The most powerful phones ever built" and even a cool chart showing that 5.8Hz is 5 times higher on the "Clarity Indicator" (whatever that is?)
But the fact is, quality of this phones reception is weaker than all my 900 MHz phones. It has a constant static in the background. Uniden thought it might be interference from my microwave, refrigerator, or some other appliance anywhere in my house so I turning off all the breakers in my house except the one to the phone but the static persisted. Uniden ask me to exchange it for new phone so I did ......the static is even louder on this phone.
The range of use is also weaker than my old 900 MHz phones. Tell me again why 5.8 GHZ is better? My recommendation is to get a 900MHz phone.
Panasonic makes some really nice 900MHz phones for a lot less money.But on the other hand, it really is a cool looking phone so if you are looking for hightech artwork for your house this just might be the phone for you.

Summary: Good Phone
Review: This phone looks cool and has all the functionality to go with it. The speakerphone on the handset is a neat feature and the "rocket dial" feature is pretty unique. Sound clarity is excellent and the range is more than sufficient for me.
For the cons: This phone doesn't come with a wall mount for the base unit. It was a problem for me because my base unit was always hung on the wall in the kitchen. Now it sits in the bedroom. The jury is still out on the battery life, which has always been a problem with my 2.4GHz Panasonic.

Summary: Top notch. But no xfer of directory between handsets?!?!
Review: We've tried them all. This is a very nice system for a large house or single line office situation. Excellent functionally and great "feel" in the hand. Sound quality is perfect, even moving around the yard/garden. Speakerphone works 4/5 on the base and 3/5 on the handsets, but it's great for impromptu group talks without everyone having to huddle around the base. I LOVE the speakerphone in the handsets and use it ALL THE TIME. I never thought I would. Answering machine has too little memory for social butterflies, but you can adjust how long each person has to record and then tell them to hurry in your outgoing message. If you make your outgoing message shorter, it gives more time for others to record, it seems. Any [$$] phone should have at least 20 minutes. This one has about 11. I wish it were 2-line. I would have spent more for that feature. But I bought it knowing that it was single line and that doesn't work against it in my review. The only reason I gave it 4/5 is that it DOES NOT allow you to transfer phone books between phone handsets. UNBELIEVABLE. I spoke to Uniden about it and they said "not many people ask for that feature." Right. When are we going to be able to transfer our PDA phone directories into a HOME phone? An IR port on the front would be the ticket, and could be used to transfer directories between phones. Uniden, are you listening? I'd spend another [$$] for that. This phone looks like it's going to last a long time in our house. I'm going to buy some more handsets to spread around. A good value. Highly recommended.
