Up to seven additional handsets can be added to the system (for a total of eight) for conferencing purposes or simple convenience, while a privacy setting lets you determine if others are allowed to join in to the conversation. By utilizing the 2.4 GHz frequency and digital spread spectrum technology, the KX-TG2770S offers clear, intelligible reception even at a distance. The fully digital answering machine has a 15-minute maximum record time with a selectable one or three-minute maximum message length, while up to three mailboxes are provided to help organize messages. A 50-number speed dial memory makes dialing the most frequently called number a snap, while the caller ID memory provides a record of the 50 most recent incoming calls. The Ni-CD battery provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time, and up to 11 days of standby, while an intercom function allows users to communicate with others in the home or office. A low-battery indicator lets you know when to return the handset to its cradle, while the page function makes finding a lost handset quick and painless.
