Rating: Summary: Great product if you want a multi featured 2.4Ghz phone Review: ...This is a sweet project phone that works with Windows 98, ME, 2000 & XP and Office 97, 98, 2000 and & XP... and a support group that can help with those 'got to love it' moments this is a fine product for advanced users. I have been using this for a year now and other than a battery [failing] this has been a flawless system. The most notable reason to enjoy it is the fact that it works with XP/Office XP granted you upgrade from Outlook 98 or 2000. Dialing contacts from Outlook XP couldn't be easier and XP manages to keep CyberGenie more stable than earlier OS's .There is an version 3 upgrade to the 2.0 software that allows you to 'opt out' of the Outlook solution and that lets you listen to voicemails right on the computer among other improvements. The only recommendations for this product would be to replace the USB cable with a 150v high data transfer or a USB2.0 cable and when you install on XP use 2.0 first if you plan to upgrade to verion 3.0...
Rating: Summary: My wife loves the CyberGenie Review: After initially greeting me with a skeptical look and a clear lack of desire to even try CyberGenie, my wife has come around to really loving it. She is so techno-phobic that even reading email required assistance. Now CyberGenie simply reads emails to her over the phone. No more looking up a number for people she calls frequently either. Once entered into CyberGenie's contacts, all she has to do is ask CyberGenie to call them by simply speaking their name. Very cool! Everyone has their own phone now, without the mess of a setup we had before; one single line cordless phone in kitchen, one single line phone in master bedroom, single line phones in each daughter's bedroom utiltizing a wireless phone jack setup, two single line phones in the "office" each with it's own answering machine (we have two phone lines and DSL). Now everyone has a two line 2.4gHz cordless phone, wherever they want to park it (as long as a power outlet is nearby). Caller ID, Call Waiting Caller ID, park, hold, transfer, conference, baby monitor, remote notification, auto attendant and more. What more could you ask for?
Rating: Summary: They're Bankrupt Review: Cygnion is out of business folks. For good reason. I have a full system with 10 phones. Lots of problems - noise problems like clicking and crackling, and range is really short, about 30-40 feet. Avoid.
Rating: Summary: Good Idea, Poor Execution and Quality Review: Do I need to say more? Handsets last six months to a year. Speech engine has it's fair share of problems with any kind of background noise. The quality just isn't there. I further understand that the company is out of business. Doesn't really matter much because they never answered the phone and the website was never available.

Rating: Summary: the phone system that never quits Review: Have been using this system since 2000 and with the exception of a few dead handsets the cybergenie is still kicking along. I'm very thankfull about the 3.0 software upgrade and drivers for windows XP. Without that it would have been in the trash by now. As for features, the phones speak for themselves, literally. Voicemail is a big reason I got the system in the first place and to have unlimited space on the hard drive to store voicemail makes it a logical soho solution. For the small/home office just starting out, cybergenie has got to be one of the best phone systems you will ever get for the features and for the price. There is a support website now where you can download the newest software and even upgrade your phones to the newest firmware. The address is www.cygnion.org

Rating: Summary: the phone system that never quits Review: I bought the cybergenie system at a local computer store with the understanding that the manufacturer (cygnion) had gone out of business. So, mainly thinking it was going to be a fun toy to play with, I was amazed by it's full business functionality. I have since moved the system into my retail store and purchased additional handsets for all of my employees (works with 10 at once). WE NO LONGER MISS ANY PHONE CALLS! It's like supplying all of my employees with cell phones except without any ongoing expense. We can page each other and transfer calls to each other and all of us can answer any call coming in on our two lines. since cygnion appears to be out of business, I actually bought another system as a backup (actually I'm using it at home again) and I got a deal on some more handsets on ebay. Hopefully other companies will pick up where cygnion left off -- I have to assume that they were just a premature victim of the DOT COM fall-out which is too bad. If you are at all computer savy, this is definitely the phone system for you
