Rating: Summary: Great phone for the price! Review: This phone's basic functions work well. I hear my frends loud and clear on this phone. More importantly, it's 5.8ghz frequency keeps it from interfering with my other wireless devices - a problem I've been having with my other cordless phones.
It's also packed with a bunch of features for the price - like real time clock (the clocks in my house are never set right), call timer and any key answer - ever fumble for the "Talk" button at night?
My only complaint with the phone is the user interface for getting to all the functions isn't as intuitive as you'd like. Maybe it's from all the features it has to jam into 5 buttons or maybe they hired the UI guys from motorola. But I got over it the same way I got over all my motorla phones!
Rating: Summary: Poor Volume Review: While the Olympia OL5800 is packed with features and style, when it comes to function this phone fails. The Olympia's switch out earpiece plates block most of the ear speaker causing the volume to be extremely low even when using the phone's loudest setting. Further, for those who like to cradle the phone on their neck, the Olympia is designed in a way which makes this almost imposible. While it looks great -- the Olympia is not functional.
