Rating: Summary: Battery hog, but good featureset Review: I'd be happier with this unit if it's unpowered little brain didn't require FOUR AA batteries! And if it didn't chew through them at a rate of one set per several months. That can be an expensive proposition to keep running. However, the Caller ID featureset is quite nice and quite reliable. The unit sometimes needs to be "rebooted" in conditions I can't reliably reproduce. You have to unplug the handset from the base, and then plug it back in and this "reboots" the little brain.
Rating: Summary: Poor Quality Review: My parents recently got Caller ID service and this is the phone they decided to get. The hook on the phone is on the handset part (look at the picture closely and you'll see it). It sticks and this creates problems in two ways. The phone will often fall off the hook when you try to hang it up (if it's mounted on the wall like ours is) and when you answer the phone the hook sticks. This means you have to pick at it to get the phone to answer. We are shopping for a new phone now.
Rating: Summary: A great buy Review: This is a great phone for the price. I agree that caller ID should light up, but that's a small shortcoming. The quality is great, and it doesn't sound like a "cheap" phone. I also like the diminutive size. I stuck one on the bedroom windowsill, and installed one in the laundry room and one in the garage ... adding convenience without breaking the bank.

Rating: Summary: Very good second caller ID phone Review: This is an excellent phone for the price but I have two complaints. 1. The Caller ID doesn't light up. So when the phone rings and you're asleep you have to turn on the light to see who's calling. 2. It doesn't have Caller ID with call waiting. Other than those two items I really like this phone for the bedroom.
Rating: Summary: a very good phone for the price Review: this is the best little phone i ever bought, dspite the minor drawbacks.the caller id display isn't backlit and the keypad is hard to see even though its dimly lit. its absolutly worth the money to get this one for your kitchen or beside your bed.you wount regret buying this phone
Rating: Summary: Two still working after 8 months Review: This phone is a waste of money. It works fine while it is still under warranty - 90 days, but after that it has a short and you cannot receive incoming calls, place outgoing calls, caller ID does not work, but the phone still rings. Not to mention draining 4 AA batteries in one week. This was by far the worst purchase made on-line.

Rating: Summary: I would not recommend this phone. Review: We purchased two of these phones...and are unhappy with both. They seem to drain the 4 AA batteries quite readily and as a kicker, you cannot dial out when this happens! Quick the house is on fire, call 911 (oops, I have to change the batteries first!) We were using this as our corded phone to supplement our cordless due to its low price and CallerID but now we are shopping again.
