Polycom Soundpoint Pro SE-220 2-Line Conference Phone with Caller ID

Summary: Great value for the money
Review: The Polycom Soundpoint Pro is a good value for the price. I run a business out of my home and need to be able to project a professional image to my clients. Some of the less expensive phones I tried sounded cheap and tinny like you were talking in an echo chamber. Polycom scaled down their corporate conference phone to maintain the features and performance but at an affordable price. The sound quality is clear with a minimum of clipping. No complaints from the clients about not being able to hear me clearly when using the speakerphone. I'm very happy with the performance of this product.

Summary: Best phone I every had
Review: This is a truly excellent phone. I have used mine for four years now. It has a headset jack and button, so you you can plug a headset without screwing with amplifiers. It has a DSP speaker phone with a microphone on the front and the back. The two-line conference feature balances the line levels and works great. Audio quality is excellent

I did have top return one under warranty when it started buzzing. But this one has worked for three years.

Review: This phone simply stinks. I have had nothing but problems with it. Although the sound quality is fairly good (not great), I frequently encounter lock-ups, in which case I have to unplug the phone and reset it. Also, something has happended to the phone so that it now constnatly displays both phone lines as being in use, regardless of whether any line is acutally being used. I replaced it with a GE phone with better displays and which cost about $75.00 less. Avoid at all costs.

Summary: Good phone, few minor problems
Review: Unlike some other reviewers, I'm really pleased with the sound quality of this phone. I have it on a table and people sitting across from me can't be heard very well by the folks on the line, so if this is your situation buy the phone with the mic on back. I had trouble setting my phone up because both included phone jack cords were defective. Also my phone has "locked up" twice and has to be unplugged to reset. They don't mention this in the manual. Overall though I think it's worth the money.
