Rating: Summary: Poor sound quality, won't shutoff when telephone answered. Review: With the exception of two major problems, this would be a good telephone answering machine for home use.The sound quality is absolutely horrible. It is nearly impossible to record a custom announcement message that callers can understand, and recorded messages left by callers are often garbled and also difficult to understand. The real problem for us is that when a phone call is answered from an extension phone while the answering machine is either performing it's announcement, or receiving a caller's message, this answering machine won't shut off. Having to ask the caller to hold on (If they can understand you over the garbled noise of the recorded announcement, while you run to the answering machine to turn it off is a real pain... especially when you can't turn it off in such a situation. The only remedy we've come up with is to unplug the machine in order to accept the call and carry on a conversation.
Rating: Summary: Good value for very little money Review: You get more than you pay for<...> There are no batteries to worry about so you don't lose messages. The sound quality is acceptable, but if you want top notch, then either go to a tape machine or pay much more for another machine. I personally have no problems understanding the messages and like the features that are included. I have used this machine now for over 5 months and have had no problems with it. Just remember, <...> don't expect CD quality sound, it's only an answering machine.
