Summary: Piece of Friggin' Crap!
Review: I agree with ALL of the NEGATIVE reviews. I don't understand how some people are giving it high ratings at all. As the story goes, the phone does well for the first year and then it starts to act up: the battery would die after 30 minutes of conversation (even after a full charge the night before!), the speakerphone is tinny and has a tendancy to "drop out" if you're talking at the same time as the caller. I read great reviews of this phone prior to buying it (2 years ago) and I wish I could recommend it because it WAS really a great phone at first, but I must agree with my fellow reviewers when I say "DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP"...unless you enjoy replacing the batteries every month.

Summary: This phone stinks!!!
Review: I paid over $100 at a warehouse club and I have a $12 cordless phone that is much more reliable. The battery life was ok for the first two months and then it all of a sudden died. Now, the phone will hold a charge for less than five minutes.

This phone was a HUGE waste of money.

Summary: Powerful, Versatile, Dependable
Review: I love my Panasonic cordless phone! I've had this phone for approx. 2 years now and have had no problems. I've only replaced the battery one time, and can talk for hours without problem (even with my frequent forgetting to put it back in the cradle).
The range is fantastic, I roam my entire house and yard with no problem. And finally, it looks and feels great in your hand, or hanging on the handy belt clip.

My only negative? The answering machine is not intuitive, so make sure you hang onto that manual!

Summary: very very robust
Review: I am really surprised by all the negative reviews here. I bought this phone more than a year and half ago. I have had no problems with it. The battery seems to be a bit weaker than before but that should be within the normal limits for any rechargable battery.
The phone is compact and nice to hold. Nice rubber grips on the sides. The menu take a bit of getting used to but is fine overall. Caller ID display on the base is very useful. Haven't really tested the water-resistance yet. ;) But I am extremely happy with the phone and would recommend it. But it seems to be out of production though.

Summary: Terrible battery life - and terrible support from Panasonic
Review: The phone worked very well . . . for about two months. It was around that time that the battery life virtually disappeared. After a full charge, we couldn't get more than a half an hour before the battery indicator would start blinking. To make matters worse, Panasonic was not in the least bit helpful about diagnosing the problem or attempting to look at the phone. I ended up having to buy a new battery on my own.
After installing the new battery, I saw the problem disappear . . . for about two months. It's back to the same problem and I'm not willing to torture myself by going back to Panasonic for Round 2 of fighting this problem.

So, I'm going to buy a Motorola instead. Their new MD681 expandable system looks appealing.

IN SHORT: Panasonic is not what they used to be and you are buying their products at your own risk. Don't expect any help from them when you run into problems (like the common battery life problems).

Summary: Horrible Battery Life
Review: Do not buy this phone. The battery life is horrible. The battery lasts one good hour when new. After a month, the battery life reduces to minutes after 6 hours charged. How may batteries will one need to stock up for a bad phone? You cannot depend on this bad phone. Imagine this is the only phone you have in the house and during a call to 911 ... you got cut off!

Summary: Why all the bad reviews???
Review: I've had this phone for about a year and a half now and except for having to replace the battery I haven't had any problems. The clarity and range is excellent and the speakerphone on the base is one of the best I've ever used.

The handset is built tough. It's been dropped a couple of times and keeps on going.

The only gripe I have is the fact that it doesn't have a MUTE button. What were they thinking?!?

Overall a very good phone.

Summary: Panasonic phones are horrible!!!
Review: There's a static sound when the phone is on, even if I just have a dial tone. Plus, everyone I talk to says that I sound like I'm on a cell phone.
I called Panasonic before I brought it back, they said it was the battery and sent me a new one. They sent the wrong battery! So I brought it back to the store for a different one.
This one does the same exact thing! I really don't think it's coincidence that I got 2 bad phones. I beleive all of them are bad and that all of the good reviews are from people that are either deaf or only played with the features and didn't call anyone yet.

**This review is about 2 different model Panasonic Phones**

Don't Do It!!!

Summary: Great rugged cordless phone
Review: The cordless phone quality is excellent. Very clear, long range. I have no problem even when the microwave is in use because of the spread spectrum. The answering machine is good. It doesn't have a lot of options when calling in to listen to messages, but covers the basics. It could be easier to play back old messages, but it works fine.
