Summary: Works Great For Me
Review: I have used this headset for over a year now. It has worked very well for me, using it with my Polycom desk phone. I find it comfortable, with excellent sound quality both from the earpiece and through the microphone to those on the receiving end. I also purchased the Plantronics headset phone which came with this same headset.

The reason I have not given this 5 stars is that I have experienced the same (and only) problem with this headset. The wire is slightly short for my use. This in itself is not a problem, but I tend to pull it, sometime yanking it off my head if I'm reaching too far while on a call. Again, this in itself isn't a problem. However, over time the phone plug has developed a short or something so that the connection sometimes becomes crackily, and worse, sometimes emits an extremely loud screech to through both my earpiece and over the line to the receiver. This has happened to both of my headsets.

I wish the plug was a bit more durable, but given the realitively low price, I will simply purchase a replacement and try not to stretch the wire too often.

I've tried many headsets and I find this the most comfortable and best performing headset.

Summary: Great product!
Review: I just read the poor reviews and I'm a bit surprised. I use it for business in my office with a Siemens cordless phone and the sound quality is great (fantastic really). You need to set the slide switch for the mic to the highest setting and be sure that the microphone is properly positioned to get the best quality. I assume the positioning is a tradeoff with the limiting of background noise and it does seem to do a good job in that regard. Connected through an adapter to my Nokia 6160 the quality is slightly hollow compared to the office phone but still more than "business" quality and I am able to conduct business without anyone knowing I'm on a mobile phone. If it has any problem it's the hole on the backside of the mic that seems to pick up wind noise -- so keep the top up in the car!

Summary: Excellent Headset!
Review: I love this headset! The sound quality is excellent, and it is very comfortable. In fact, I like using this headset so much that talking on the phone without it just seems awkward.

Summary: Wasn't too impressed
Review: I tried this headset with my LG mobile phone, and I constantly had a hard time hearing the person on the other line. I also didn't like the "switchboard operator" style headset -- too much of a hassle for use on the road, and too big to easily fit in the glove box. Might be ok for someone at an office desk. I switched to a Body Glove over-the-ear style system -- better sound, more compact and convenient.

Summary: Good quality. Now good price.
Review: I use this headset with a cell phone 4-8 hours every day with no problems. The incoming sound quality is indistinguishable from holding the phone to my ear. I have had NO complaints from the many people I talk to that my voice sounds muffled.

I have tried other headsets/earpieces and they all uniformly hurt my ear by the end of the day. This headset has been the best in that regard, though there is still some minor discomfort. Of course the trade-off in this case is that there is a headband over the top of your head which I'm sure some people would find objectionable (hair style interference).

Overall, and certainly for this low price, I highly recommend this product.

Summary: Great
Review: I use this while making long calls on my cell phone. What a relief it is to be able to drive without having your head sideways to hold the cellphone. My shoulder doesnt hurt anymore. The sound quality is great and the microphone is extremely resistant to outside noise. Wonderful engineering on plantronics' part. Sound quality is crystal clear...

Summary: Good sound -- worthless mic
Review: I was very disappointed by Plantronics dropping the ball on this one. I spend an average of 5-6 hours a day on the phone and enjoyed the M175. Apparently, someone else did also, and I had to get a replacement. Figured the same thing as someone else here and I would save myself $15 and step down.

Headset and earpiece comfort were comparable, as was sound quality (reception). I get so many complaints on the mouthpiece, that I have given it up and am switching back.

Either the mic is poor, or the positioning is bad. I have a small face, and even so, I wish the boom mic was longer and didn't stop at the corner of my mouth.

Bottom line -- unless your mouth curves to one side or you like bending the mic to your mouth, skip this one.

Summary: Can't beat this headset
Review: I've been the very happy owner of this headset for about a year. I use it with my cell phone, and people have told me they can actually hear me better when I use the headset than when I just use the phone itself. The sound quality is great, and the head piece is very comfortable. I would definitely buy this again.

Summary: Comfortable, Looks good, but doesn't work!
Review: I've bought this headset as a replacement to a Radio Shack headset that I had for years and finally twisted the cord one too many times. I thought that I could "upgrade" to this one but no such luck. During almost every conversation I'm asked if I have them on speakerphone, or worse I have to shout into the phone. I can hear the caller just fine but they cannot hear me.

There is also an issue with a squelch from time to time if the plug is turned the "wrong" way.
