Rating: Summary: almost worthless Review: Tried 2 of these things, one with an RCA label and one under the HP label (same product). They both did the exact same things. Bad. I was going to use 2 extension units, one for a telephone, and one for a modem. When used as a basic telephone, it had a buzz in the audio. Not enough to be unusable, but annoying. When used as a modem, I could only get a max throughput of 36K. I normally get 50.6K. I have a 1-year old house with new wiring, so I'm not going to blame the wiring. Bad product.
Rating: Summary: usefull for notebook user and dislike cable Review: usefull examples: 1. I enter my new home and placed my computer working room. But there isn't phone jack. I placed 50 meters caple between computer and phone jack.(50 meters * $0,4 = $20)This cost me $202.If you have notebook you can easily move every where in home
Rating: Summary: Works Great with a satellite Review: Using it for a DSS system and is very dependable. Works as advertised, beats wiring thru the walls. Just used for a satellite system for pay-per-views etc. Only took 10 minutes to hook up 1 transmitter and 2 receivers (One for each sattelite receiver). Yes it is cheaper to wire phone lines, but this way is A LOT easier and faster by far. Highly recommend for sattelite systems. Like I said I NEVER made a call on a "phone" with these units, I only use for sattelite's.
Rating: Summary: Don't work as advertised Review: Well, the device doesn't work for me in my house. I can get the device to dial a remote modem, but static noice eliminates any hope of a sustained reliable connection. Even when i shorten the distance, i can only get 14.4k speed and the connection still drops.
