Rating: Summary: Great Product, Almost Perfect Review: First off, I have owned a lot of noise canceling headsets, and this one takes the cake. By far the best one I have ever used. You can literally whisper and be heard with perfect clarity on the other side. As was mentioned in an another post, the rubberized portion that fits behind your ear could use a little work, it does get worn and the rubber cracks on mine. Overall the fit is decent, but is sometimes hard to get just right as theboom is very pliable and hence subject to rearrangement every time you take it off. I only have one major problem with theBoom and that is the lack of an inline button. Many (most) headsets have a button inline with the cord that can be used for different features with your phone. Often this button is used to mute, but on many Samsung devices, this button is used to activate the voice dial. Theboom does not have an inline button and hence makes it a bit of a pain to communicate with devices use this feature. Overall a great product, but for the pricetag, I wish they would address this concern.

Rating: Summary: Great product for any mobile professional Review: First off, the noise-cancelling technology on this boom mic is incredible. In my car, which can be quite noisy at times, I used to have to repeat names for my phone's voice-activated dialer 4-5 times to get the phone to recognize the name. With theBoom, it gets it on the first try every time. People on the other end of the line never know that I'm in the car when I'm talking, and in fact sometimes ask me to move the mic away from my face a bit because my voice comes in too clearly! ;-) UmeVoice's customer service has been excellent. The drawbacks are: 1) the $150 pricetag (obviously) 2) The rubberized material on the EarWrap (the piece that hooks over the back of your ear) is a bit weak, and is prone to breakage. I have now gone through two of them, although UmeVoice has been great about replacing them, and apparently is working on a redesign. 3) The fit could be a bit better - sometimes the unit feels a bit loose in my ear, so I have to adjust it to hear better. Other times I can get it just right and not have to touch it at all. I suppose that's just the nature of boom mics in general. 4) Size. Although it does bend, and you can stick it in a pocket, this is not a small piece by any means. I usually keep it in my work bag or in my car. All in all, if you drive and use your cell, or talk in a noisy environment, this is a great product.

Rating: Summary: Way too much hyped up. Extremely disappointed Review: Hi, I generally try to give a product a fair chance before forming a judgment. I have to talk on phone a lot (suffice to say that I have a 5000 minutes plan for my mobile) and hence wanted to invest in a "state-of-the-art" head set for my cell phone. The main criterion I had was that my client should not know if I was making the call from my car, while crossing the road or my office. I searched on the internet and found this head set.
This headset is not as comfortable or as non conspicuous like the others smaller Bluetooth enabled (like by Jabra). I was willing to tolerate some discomfort as long as I could conduct a professional voice call with my clients without background noise.
Well, I started talking on this headset, assuming that all the marketing hype was true. But soon I realized that this headset cannot be trusted. I was making a call to my wife one day and she asked me if the weather was really bad. I was walking in slight windy conditions while talking to her and she heard a storm in the back ground. Same happened while the AC vents in the car were blowing air. OK, maybe this head set might be build just for places where there is no wind.
But lo and behold, while calling from my office too, it seams that this headset would sometimes fade in-fadeout.
I was really disappointed with this set.
This head set comes in 2 parts: the long mic piece detaches from the holder which wraps around your ear. One fine day I lost the ear piece which was a blessing in disguise since I was not going to throw a $150 head set in the trash voluntarily. Right now, I am using the cheapo headset that comes with the phone and I am much happier.
Rating: Summary: a MUST for a truly mobile professional Review: I have tried many headsets before theboom and had never got used to any one of them, as none of them were worth using or even worth buying. With theboom it has been a different story. The best part is that I am now truly mobile!; with my handheld and theboom I can take and make calls from anywhere and no one realizes I am not in my office. I take and make lot of my calls during my train commute. I can whisper on the boom and still be heard on the other side without any background noise that would give away my location. Due to the fact that I am whispering, my neighbours can't hear me at all, so I am worried about being overheard. Overall it has changed the way I use my cell phone. So if you do business on your cell phone, you should buy it.
Rating: Summary: Best Headset Ever - "you have to try it to believe" Review: I was a little skeptical at first when I saw this headset on TechTV, but decided to buy it since I really needed a quality headset. I use the headset with a cell phone and at work on a regular phone. Every time I use it, I am reminded that this headset is worth every penny and more. Noise cancellation is excellent and the other parties are oblivious to you being in a crowded room or outside in traffic. The latest model comes with an ear piece that directs sound into your ear canal in noisy environments and has a comfortable over-the-ear holder that keeps the headset in place. I have recommended this to friends and co-workers time and time again. Once you try this, you'll never go back to anything else.

Rating: Summary: Great product for any mobile professional Review: When I use theBoom in a noisy place the other person always hear's me clearly. Sometimes I use theBoom at home, and when the baby is crying my clients don't hear that either. I have not had this great experience with any other cell phone headset. It lets me maintain a professional presence anywhere. Also I can speak very softly.
