The tz2551 is a 2.4 GHz cordless phone with a built-in TeleZapper, a fully digital answering machine, and caller ID/call waiting compatibility. The 2.4 GHz frequency and digital spread spectrum technology result in clearer reception and at greater distances than traditional 900 MHz phones. The answering machine stores up to 15 minutes of messages split among three mailboxes, while full remote operation allows you to check messages even while you are away from home. Caller ID and call waiting compatible, the tz2551 stores up to 99 names and numbers in its internal memory, while an additional 40-number phone book allows you to store frequently used numbers for quick dialing. A redial feature allows you to call the last outgoing number (up to 32 digits) with the touch of a button, and a page/handset locator lets you quickly and easily find a misplaced handset. If you want to remedy annoying telemarketing calls, a partial solution is built into this phone. The TeleZapper emits a special tone that fools many computer dialing systems into thinking your number has been permanently disconnected. Telemarketing companies that use automated dialing systems typically remove disconnected numbers from their calling lists, so over time you'll likely notice fewer calls. With an optional wall-mount accessory, you can mount the phone on the wall, keeping desktop space uncluttered, while headset compatibility allows you to communicate hands-free.
