Summary: Cool looking, but...
Review: ... it's not the best performing 900mhz I've owned. The range doesn't seem to be as good as my last Vtech 900mhz (which cost a lot less but is no longer sold by them.)

I'm a gadget freak so the design immediately caused the impulse purchase. Now I'm suffering a slight case of buyers remorse. The phone is a little small in my opinion now that I put it to use. Although people on the other end have no trouble hearing me, I always feel like I'm not talking into it correctly. Perhaps it's just a personal hangup as I get that same feeling on certain small cellular phones.

One problem is the phone's annoying habit of switching channels for no apparent reason which cuts the other end off for about 2 seconds. This happens even when I'm right next to the receiver. Why? I don't know. If you're used to trapping the phone between your ear and shoulder while you do something else, think again with this phone. This also causes the channel switching problem. Lastly, it's not one of those phones that is "intuitive." Even something as simple as redialing requires a visit to the instruction manual. Plan on your friends asking you questions about anything other than a simple outgoing phone call.

On the plus side, it remembers something like 20 digits on the speed dial. This means not only can you program in mom's number, you can include the 10-10 numbers if you need to. Many phones can't do this. The headseat "page" feature works good (you'll be using it a lot on this small phone at first). Lastly there are about 5 different rings to choose from, none are particularly annoying.

Summary: Small but Mighty
Review: I can only offer wonderful things to say about this little cell-phone-look-alike. The phone is very small (may not be suitable for people with very large hands) but is so convenient and portable. When I bought mine it automatically came with a headset- I first thought it was cheesy but immediately fell in love with it during long conversations when I needed both hands. I was ten times more impressed with this little phone when I took my dogs for a walk, forgetting I had the phone in my pocket. Three to four blocks away from my heavily wooded house my phone rang! I had perfect reception!!! The only drawback is that there is no manual channel changer- it automatically searches for the best channel (sometimes, though rarely irritating). I had tried a couple other VTechs only to return them due to limited range and very little options. With this VTech, you can store tons of numbers, choose from three different ringers, mute, auto redial, caller-id, call waiting caller-id, back light with lighted buttons, etc. Also- you can store a second battery in a little hidden compartment that will charge it for emergency usage! Like I said, just like a cell-phone. Small but definately proves itself mighty!!!

Summary: A Surprisingly Dependable Phone...
Review: I'll be honest, I bought this phone for its' looks and I was willing to sacrifice some performace. But I have had this phone for almost two years and I have no complaints. I have dropped it a couple of times, once on cement, and it still works well. Since I have had some horror stories with other phones I was very pleased with this one.

Review: If you are looking for a small phone that you can take anywhere around the house with you... This is it!!. Great reception and great features. About the only gripe I might have is that it is so small that it makes it impossible to use the shoulder hold on. You must either hold in hand or use the supplied headphones which i dont particularly care for.

Summary: The GREATEST LITTLE PHONE !!!!
Review: This is the greatest little phone I ever bought! In fact I wanted to buy 3 or 4 more for back up. Now I can't find them any more. If any one has one for sale let me know! This phone has great reception, it fits in your pocket, has caller id and holds 20 speed dial numbers. I have dropped mine many times on cement and it still works great! I hope that Vtech reconsiders and makes this model again!
