Summary: Sturdy with good clarity
Review: This is the primary phone in our lab and it has excellent clarity. In addition, it has been heavily abused (multiple 5 ft drops, for ex.) and is still functional. we haven't noticed any battery problems, but we tend to keep it on the base unit when not in use.

Summary: Worst ATT Phone
Review: This is the worst att phone that I have had. DO NOT BUY IT. But all the other ATT phones are great. I have 2 9450 (good) and 2 9400 (bad) The only problem is that they are all 900mhz DSS and if you are talking on one and so is someone else, if you get too close to the other base or phone it creates interferance (kind of like what you would get with a digital cell phone). But this would probably happen with any DSS/2.4 ghz phone.

Summary: Doesn't work with a headset
Review: This phone doesn't work with a headset, a necessity if you spend much time on the phone.

Summary: Worst cordless phone I've ever used
Review: This phone has everything at the right price, too bad it doesn't work. If a cordless phone is supposed give the user freedom of movement, than this is the ultimate failure. From the first day in operation, the phone's reception started to break up if you took the phone more than 5 feet from the base, there was no chance if you went into another room. When I called AT&T to troubleshoot, they told me to pull out the antenna - duh, its a fixed length antenna, it doesn't extend. Then they told me to ship it back. Why, because they know this product is a DOG!

Summary: all in all a good phone
Review: This phone is pretty good. The range is absolutly incredible! Sound quality is also very good. One small problem, the battery does not last for more then a couple hours of use. Its also very small and sleek, it's shorter then my cell phone.

I also wanted to correct the electronics enthusiast from the Boston area, who stated this phone beeps when the power goes out, with no way of stopping it. This statement is infact untrue, to stop the beeping you simply pick up the handset and turn the power switch to "off." It does this because it cannot make contact with the base while the power is out, and therefore thinks the base is out of range.

Summary: this is a fantastic phone
Review: this phone is the best ever! One would not ever know this is not a corded phone, it is that clear, and there is no background noise. Very good range.

Summary: Good but can be better.
Review: Very good sound quality. Starts giving low-power beeps after ~1.5 hrs. talk which are annoying. Also absence of headset option can be a liability.

Summary: The 'beeping' while charging feature is very annoying.
Review: When the battery is charging on this phone it beeps constantly. This is a very annoying feature, that we could find no way to turn off. The range and static free signal is excellent. This does not make up for the warning low power feature.

We live in a area with frequest power outages, during which the phone runs out of stand-by power. When the power comes back up, the phone begins to beep every 1/2 to 1 minute until it is rechagred (8 to 12 hours). We tried replacing the battery, the phone proceeded to beep for 3 full days. Our final solution was to buy a new phone (with out the low power notification).

If you tend to run the power down on your phone I would caution you against this particular model.
