Summary: Like so well we're buying a second
Review: An amazing buy, especially at the Amazon price. Gee, you sayyour cordless phone doesn't work when the power is out at the baseunit? DUH! Your non-answering machine phone doesn't have remote access? DUH-DUH! And yes, folks, it does have a jack for a headset. (Hint, look at the top of the handset. But it takes enough sense to remove the little rubber plug, which problably disqualifies a lot of people.) There probably are some phones which are dead on arrival, but I suspect that a sizable proportion of those who complain about battery life never conditioned the battery in the first place, as the instructions clearly direct. (Instructions? You mean we're supposed to READ? ) We've found the phone clear and absolutely interference-free, and we never run short of battery charge, even after hours of conversation.

Summary: Plastic is poor quality
Review: Have been using the phone for two weeks now. While the electrical performance is great, my wife used the phone while wearing sunscreen, which turned the plastic gooey and spotty. I tried cleaning it to no avail. Now it sticks to my hand!

Summary: Great clarity, slightly awkward size
Review: I agree with previous reviews. I have had no problems with the clarity and range, but the handset is a little too big to hold with ease and too small to cradle in the neck.

Summary: no remote access
Review: I am very surprised that a phone of this type does not have remote access As a stockholder I feel ATT should encourage phone use.

Summary: Sadly, a product with many lemons
Review: I bought this phone at the local Office store and it worked great for about a month, then all of a sudden it stopped. It did nothing but beep, no dial tone, nothing... tried everything, the phone still wouldn't work.

Went back and exchanged it for the new Power Advantage 4.0 AT&T 9520, it's everything this phone wasn't. Much greater range, very light and compact, fully recharges in only 4 hours and comes with a spare battery, highly recommended. It definitely restored my faith in AT&T.

Summary: O.k. until something goes wrong!
Review: I have had this phone for about a year (maybe 18 mos.). It has worked great, but lately the battery has been beeping that it's low. Today my power went off and now it doesn't work at all. It seems too soon for the battery to be worn out, so I suspect the charger. Regardless, AT&T does not service this, Phillips Consumer Products does. They have an 800 number that is completely useless (never an option to speak to a person), and told me (via recording) that it would cost me $84 dollars to have this repaired by them (plus shipping). It may be as simple as a new battery, but I just don't know and there doesn't seem to be any way to find out. A totally frustrating and maddening experience! (I did not by this through Amazon, but I'll probably buy my next one here. I trust them more).

Summary: Great Clarity
Review: i have only had this phone for one day so I cant judge too much yet, but so far the clarity was great i went out to garage in house outside no cut outs or anything. My last cordless phone was a cheap one before megahertz technology, (selectable channels was its biggest newest feature) the battery on the old phone was also harder to put in this one battery just pops in and from what I heard about battery life thats a great feature. Also liked the short antentae on handset. The size is cute but awkward espeically when you are trying to cradle phone on your neck and shoulder. The belt clip is pretty much useless. This is the second one i got this week the first one was damaged battery never charged, I wondered if it had been returned previously because directory card was just a card with no way to attach it to phone. When i exchanged the phone it had a bcking to it. DON'T WORRY I DIDN'T BUY IT FROM AMAZON, but maybe I should have, cost the same price as its going for in the stores and cheaper than other online stores. If clarity and security is the most important thing to you get this phone

Summary: A good basic cordless phone and the price is right.
Review: I have owned this phone for almost a year and I am delighted. The range is tremendous. The size, weight and feel are excellent. The only drawback is that it does not include a headphone jack.

Summary: this is BY FAR the best quality cordless phone
Review: I have tried two other makes of phones that claim to have the same features as the AT&T... they pale in compariso to this phone. It is incredible. Add a dial pad to the base and a speakerphone, and you will never need another phone again. I bought this thing a year ago, and guests are amazed at how clear and how much of a range this phone actually has. I strongly recommend you buy it. Try it, if you don't agree with me ( which, trust me, you will ), simply return it. This phone is the best phone of its type on the market. The only longer range phone is a $200+ 2.4 Ghz phone; my neighbor just bought it. Negligible difference. This product is a steal. You'll have it for years.

Summary: Great phone, better price!
Review: I have used this phone now for about a month. Not entirely sure where people are getting this whole thing of the phone's battery being short lived. I used the phone and left it off the base for a week at a time and it still performs like a champ. Range is unreal and clarity is great. The only thing that is a little bad is the fact that it is slightly hard to cradle on your neck, but for the price, you are getting a superior phone for sure!
