Summary: Phone didn't work....at all!
Review: I pulled the phone out of the box, plugged it in and...nothing. It didn't work. Don't waste your money on this phone.

Summary: Bad Battery
Review: I purchase this phone as a Xmas gift for my roommate. She didn't set it up until mid-February. Now, only 2 months after she started using it, the battery has died. My Sanyo phone did the same thing, but it lasted over a year before this happened.

Summary: Two months later...
Review: I've had this for two months -- I really liked it at first -- and already the battery has just about gone. Most of the time I can barely hear the person on the other end of the line. What a disappointment. It's going back!

Summary: Great Phone - Great Value
Review: I've had this phone for a good 2+ years now. I've recently had to change the battery for the first time, so no big deal. I have another (older) Sony model cordless in another room which I'm looking to replace (and use as a paper-weight) - so, I'm going to just buy another one of these Uniden's because the clarity is so good. I especially like the Caller ID/Call Waiting features - I would say that my only complaint with this phone is that it only holds 10 phone numbers for auto-dial... I've got more friends than that! But, you can't beat the practicality and functionality for this price.

Summary: Great Phone for the Price
Review: I've had this phone since March and it's going strong. Great view for caller id, battery power lasts fine, and clearer that most corded phones I've used. Go with Uniden, this is my second Uniden cordless phone, both have worked great.

Summary: Battery Life Stinks
Review: The battery life of this phone has quickly gone down hill. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I am already shopping for a new one - after only 5 months...

Summary: Good Basic Phone
Review: The other reviews in this forum are pretty mixed, from bad batteries to the phone not having a HOLD button. I have had this phone for about a month and have no major complaints on it. If you are looking for an inexpensive cordless 900 MGHZ with caller ID, this is a good phone. The display for the caller ID is clear and well lit. (green background) In my opinion, the phone feels comfortable on my ear which was a major factor in my purchasing it. About the battery concern, I don't know why the other reviews knock the battery..it lasts a pretty long time. There is no hold button, but I don't need one. The reception is clear and holding it is fairly comfortable. So, basically for the price, it's a good cordless with Caller ID. May I suggest that if it doesn't meet your expectations, return it immediately! Thanks for reading my review.

Summary: Great Phone, Excellent Clarity and Quality.
Review: This is a great phone. No static or echo like some other phones. I had bought one, initially, with doubts, and found no problems at all, and then bought another of this same model for another room in the house. To the reviewer (Phone didn't work....at all!, January 18, 2002), did you let it charge up for hours like you were supposed to when you first plugged it in? Does not sound like it. That may explain why it did not work when you first plugged it in. I followed the initial handset charge up, and it has been great. Also, nice shaped handset is easy to hold and comfortable on the ear. Had both phones for probably 2 years now and still on the original factory battery in the handset. Another brand I had, the battery lasted less than a year!

Summary: Best phone I have
Review: This is the best cordless I've ever had. Clear, good range, never had a problem with static.

Only drawback: no ringer on/off switch. You can select between two ring tones and loud/soft for 4 total options. One of the tones is pleasing and probably the least annoying ring of any phone I've owned.

I will probably buy another of these. I also have a GE (awful, lots of static), a Toshiba (fair, bad cradle design and the battery is now shot), and a Southwest Bell (terrible, sounds like you're across the room on a speakerphone in a bathroom).
