Rating: Summary: a complete waste of money Review: It's difficult to hear the person you're speaking with and I get complaints that they can barely hear me as well. Just so you know, it's not just the particular phone that I happened to buy because I bought 2 of them at the same time and they both had the same problem. I still use one when I need to but have gone back to using a phone with a cord.
Rating: Summary: a complete waste of money Review: Piece of garbage. Horrible distance. reliability stinks, especially the buttons. Would definitley recommend not buying this phone, no matter what the cost.

Rating: Summary: nice phone Review: The key pad lights up bright, making it easy to see. I do not have any echo problems with mine. Small in size and very clear reception. I have been a couple hundred feet from the base with out any static.
Rating: Summary: Decent hand-held cordless, unacceptable with headset Review: The phone is fairly convenient. The sound quality is good. However, when using the headset jack for hands-free operation, the transmitted volume (your voice as heard by your callers) is unacceptably low; when tested with 2 different handsets that work fine with other corded and cordless telephones.

Rating: Summary: Toshiba SG1700 2.4 GHz silver cordless phone Review: This particular Toshiba SG1700 2.4 GHz silver cordless phone was very attractive compare to the traditional "black" phone. It's key pads lights up which makes it great to use in the dark. I was using the Uniden 900 MHz digital phone before, and I just bought the Toshiba, because I needed another phone, so I was able to compare the immediate differences between the MHz and GHz. There is "indeed" a earful of difference. The GHz phone is clearer. Very clear. No noise. No hissy sounds. If you have a long face and big hands then, this particular phone may be some difficult to use, because we are so used to place our phone into our mouth. Actually if you speak away from the phone, the other side still can you you. Good price for under $ 80 phone, that's 2.4 GHz. Other brands, especially, Panasonic is too much! If you feel the phone, its quality if much better than GE, Uniden, or Vtec. From a Happy customer.
Rating: Summary: Toshiba failed me:-( Review: This phone (stinks)... I bought it not even a year ago and its dead already. It was never dropped or abused in any way. It also suffered from feedback when I used the microwave( which my new cheapie 2.4 GHz GE colors phone doesnt suffer from:-/ ) I used to love Toshiba, oh wells...

Rating: Summary: Toshiba SG1700 2.4 GHz Silver Cordless Phone Review: This phone has great features such as volume control and light up numbers. It's crystal clear with no background noise or static. My biggest complaint is the echoing. It's really annoying. Although the people you are speaking with can't hear the echo. I prefer Toshiba's 900MGZ phones with much better quality.
