Description:

Get both the convenience of a digital answering system and the power of DSS cordless-phone technology with the Uniden EXS9950. This phonecombines the power of 900 MHz transmission with digital spread spectrumtechnology to ensure security and sound quality.

Forget about the short-range, static-plagued cordless phones of the past.Basically a low-powered FM radio transmitter/receiver, cordless phonestoday use higher frequencies with shorter wavelengths so radio wavesencounter less interference. A 900 MHz phone like the Uniden EXS9950 has arange of up to 100 feet indoors.

The Uniden EXS9950 offers digital spread spectrum (DSS) technology forsecurity and greater sound clarity. Based in part on a concept invented by1940s screen actress Hedy Lamarr, spread spectrum transmission switchesrapidly from frequency to frequency at random. A DSS signal needs lesspower and encounters less interference. Because of the sophisticatedencryption behind modern DSS technology, DSS cordless phone calls arealmost impossible to eavesdrop on with generally available scanners.

With 20 channels of 900 MHz frequencies, the Uniden EXS9950 ensures a clearcall every time. The phone's AutoTalk feature lets you answer a call justby picking up the handset--no need to fumble for the "talk" button. Hang upsimply by placing the handset in the base with the AutoStandby feature.

Screen your incoming calls with the digital answering machine, which storesup to 15 minutes of messages. The machine uses a microchip to record yourmessages instead of tape. That means you won't have to wrestle with tapecartridges or worry about jamming and skipping.

The Uniden EXS9950's answering system is built into the phone's base unit,so there's no need to allot extra space on your counter or desk. Recordyour own greeting or use the prerecorded greeting included with the phone. The answering system can be set to announce only, and operated from aremote location with a four-digit code.

Play all of your messages at once, or skip through to the desired message. You can also repeat and delete specific messages. It comes with a time/dayfeature, so you know exactly when a message was left. You can also use youranswering system to record a conversation, or activate it remotely tomonitor a room.
