Summary: worst phone ever
Review: Frankly, I'm shocked. This phone looks nice and has a great design, but the reception is terrible. The signal is unclear and there is a lot of static. I also experienced the same problem with this phone that another reviewer mentioned... You hear your own voice coming over the receiver, usally louder than that of the caller. Between the echo and poor reception, it is nearly impossible to have a conversation on this phone.

Summary: What a GREAT phone!
Review: Have been shopping for a cordless phone w/answering machine for a long time. Actually bought a couple of competitors phones but they were junk! This phone lives up to all my expectations! The voice quality is clear, the features are easy to use, and it's not expensive!

Summary: 900 DSS Unidens are good, this phone is disgraceful.
Review: I bought this phone after being very very impressed with the 900 Mhz DSS Uniden phone I had. It did not have caller ID, but had a base with a slot for a second battery (I sorely miss that).

That phone would go 100 yards in my condo complex and not lose the connection. I now can't even go to the end of my driveway (50 feet) without the phone kicking out.

AND the microwave will disconnect you. What a piece of (...) this phone is. Just after they get my business from Panasonic they destroy their reputation.

DO NOT BUY!!

Summary: good phone
Review: I had this phone for many years. We never had a problem until lately. The buttons only worked if you pushed them a couple time and really hard. But like I said it has been many years and you can't expect electronics to work forever. I have ordered another uniden phone due to how happy this phone made us.

Summary: GREAT CORDLESS PHONE
Review: I HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM AND WITH THIS PHONE I HAVE NO PROBLEM HEARING THE PEOPLE WHO CALL - LOVE THE SPEAKER PHONE - I USE IT MORE THEN THE HANDHELD, WHICH I USE TO DIAL ONLY, THEN HANG IT UP TURN THE SPEAKER ON AND I'M IN BUSINESS READY TO TALK. I HAVE IT NEXT TO MY MODEM AND MONITOR - THERE IS NO STATIC OR INTERFERENCE. MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDSON ARE GOING TO PURCHASE THE SAME PHONE, SINCE THEY HAVE HAD THE CHANCE TO SEE HOW WELL IT WORKS. THEY CAN HEAR ME WHEN I CALL OR THEY CALL AS CLEAR AS A BELL AND I DON'T HAVE TO GET A SORE ARM HOLD THE HANDSET.

Summary: compact design, many features...flawed quality
Review: I liked this phone because it offers many options - a digital answering machine, speaker phone, caller id for call waiting, and uses the 2.4 GHz technology. Several annoying features i have experienced with this phone: Voice echos when talking into the phone, which is annoying at first, something you have to get used to. Apparently, most of the new phones(various brands)do this. There is a constant mild buzzing in the background heard at all times, regardless of distance from base; however, the buzzing is not enought to affect the user's ability to hear. Answering machine distorts the recording voice - sounds too digitized - and messages are not loud enough even at max volume. Speaker phone has no dialing capability on base, so you have to dial with the receiver...There is no mute button. Regardless, the phone works decently and the range is exeptional. The phone is compact, lightweight, intuitive functioning, and the appearance is nice. I like the feature of being able to redial three numbers back, caller id w/call waiting, the lighted keypad, and the conversation length display.

Summary: Can't ask for more
Review: I purchased this phone 10 months ago when I received a flier with our phone bill. It cost me $..., and has probably been the best money I've spent. I run my own business out of my home, and also work for a local real estate agent, so any phone I own is going to take a beating.

Upon using the phone, I was extremely happy with the 20 number scroll memory list, the easy-to-use digital answering machine, the remote message retreival, and the speakerphone, not to mention the clarity of calls, the range, and the Caller ID on Call Waiting (the most handy feature on ANY phone), and distinctive ring compatibility.

I've read some of the other reviews people are writing, and I agree that noone should pay ANY money for a phone that echos, is too quiet, etc. I've never had those problems with this phone. My calls have always been clear. I'm able to walk almost a block away without losing a call or a call becoming the least bit staticy. There is a volume control that ranges from quiet to loud enough that you can hold the phone away from your ear and still hear every word. There is also a volume control for the answering machine (which, if turned all the way up, can be heard across our house). The page feature is a good one for those of us who lose EVERYTHING (including our keys). I have also had no problem with echos or hearing other's calls.

Although it's not recommended, I have the phone right next to our DSL modem/computer, with a filter on it (I don't understand how you could use a phone WITHOUT one since DSL runs through and parallel to your phone line), and have had no problems with static.

Frankly the ONLY downside I think this phone has is the lack of keypad on the base of the phone for speakerphone dialing. Other than that this phone has worked PERFECTLY.

Summary: bad voice quality
Review: I purchased this phone because of my experience with a uniden 900 mhz phone. The 2.4 had echo's and bad voice quality. I was outside 1 time, and with background noise, could hardly hear because of the echo. My wife said to return it, which I did. I still want a 2.4 phone, but will read more reviews.
