Summary: Nice phone.....great customer service
Review: I bought this phone about 2 months ago and have been very happy until about 1 week ago. After a full charging session the battery low warning beep would start sounding after only a few minutes of usage. I have just called the VTech customer service line and explained that I bought it from Best Buy....have lost the reciept and explained my problem. No problem. The very nice lady gave me a service cost waiver number and instructions on how to return the phone for a full replacement. So it is going back and I will have to see what the replacement is like. The TeleZapper feature can be turned off...by the way. Range is very good, and I love the Directory feature. Nothing is perfect,(especially regarding technology (or is this because we have been tought to expect dodgy technology thanks to MS Windows....but that's a whole other story)) but what seperates the bad from the good is how well a company handles faulty equipment. And so far I am very happy with VTech. For the price, it is a good phone. Just hope you get a good battery. From the other posts, it seems like my problem is not unique, so VTech may want to check this out.

Summary: Hard to hear people
Review: I bought this phone about three weeks ago, the first thing I dislike is that when you answer the phone you hear a beep and so does the caller-its trying to zap every single call which is very annoying. It's hard to hear people-I turned the volume up and it was to loud theres not a good setting for the volume. The caller ID is very hard to read. There has not been a change at all from telemarketers still receiving alot. The only good thing about this phone is the range, although if you are outside not facing the charger the clearity is gone. Would not recommend this phone to anyone.

Summary: Exactly what I had hoped for
Review: I bought this phone after reading a lot of reviews from various sources. So far (after four weeks), I am quite pleased with my purchase. The clarity is fine, even when I'm near my computer equipment and microwave. And I've gone into the yard without any degradation in signal. The battery lasts all day, and I keep it off the cradle all day. And finally, yes, the Telezapper does work. I've noticed a decrease in the number of telemarketing calls in the month I've owned this phone. My two cents...

Summary: This might not be the phone you want.
Review: I bought this phone because it was cheap and because it got good customer reviews. I should not have put so much faith in the reviews. This phone has a shorter range than the 900mhz phone it was purchased to replace. The telezapper doesn't seem to do anything but make the phone beep when you answer a call. And, last but not least, the battery life on this phone is only about 15 minutes of talking on a fully charged battery. I am going to buy a new battery to see if that will fix that problem, but even if it does, I wish I would have followed the "you get what you pay for" saying.

Summary: Bad Battery; Terrible Telephone
Review: I bought this phone because while I liked the idea of the Telezapper and knew it worked, I had had poor luck with the plain Telezapper units that you plugged directly into your phone jack. My sister mentioned that she had this phone and liked it, so I figured it was worth a try.

Like any phone, especially any *cordless* phone, it's not perfect. There are areas of my house where I don't get great reception. Also, if I use it very close to my computer, I lose my wireless network connection, though that *did* happen occasionally with the last cordless phone I had, also.

I personally had no problems with my digital answering machine in relation to this phone, but that might be because it's hooked up to a different phone (but on the same phone line). I feel that the Caller ID, Call Waiting Caller ID, and speed dial options are more than satisfactory.

Since there are such widely varying reviews of this phone, my advice to anyone who is interested in it is to go ahead and give it a try, because it might be just what you were looking for. If it isn't, I'm quite sure you can return it and get your money back.

Summary: Bad Battery; Terrible Telephone
Review: I bought this phone from Amazon a few months ago. I had to turn off the Telezapper feature within a couple of weeks because it was so annoying and distracting to personal callers. The phone constantly picks up interference, I personally don't care for any of the ring options, and the battery just plain sucks. At a couple months old, a full night of charging is good for about 20 minutes of use before the thing starts beeping at me and cutting out parts of my conversation.

Skip this piece of junk and sign up for your state's no-call list instead.

Summary: same battery problem as others
Review: I have had the exact same experiance with this phone as most of the other reviewers. The only exception that I saw was that I actually did replace the battery and it didn't help. I am looking for a new phone now to replace it. Buyer beware.

Summary: I've had no problems at all
Review: I have had this phone for 11 months and have never had a problem with it. The TeleZapper's single beep that happens at the beginning of every phone call is a little distracting, but both I and the people I talk to regularly have gotten so used to it that we don't even mention it any more. Also, I enjoy using the telephone book feature where you can scroll through the names & phone #'s you've saved, select the name you want, hit a button & it calls the # for you. I realize this is a very common feature now, but I just wanted to mention it because it is very easy to use on this particular phone, and I use it regularly.

After reading all the other customer reviews where people have interference, volume level, etc. problems, I thought I ought to put up a solid 5-star review, since I have no complaints with this phone.

Okay, maybe once I happened to be using the phone while I used the microwave at the same time, and that might have interfered with understanding the person I was speaking with on the phone. (If I had moved away from the microwave to another room, I might not have had that problem at all.) However, that's just the risk you take with a 2.4 GHz phone, since they operate on the same wavelength with many baby monitors, microwaves, etc. However, this isolated incident would never stop me from buying this phone again.

I bought the extended warranty contract that Best Buy offers when I bought this phone, and I have NEVER felt the need to take the phone back.
