Summary: Excellent Cordless Phone
Review: I've had problems in the past with cordless phones: reception, range, ease of use, general feel of the phone in your hand. But this phone seems to pull everything together in a very nice package. Granted I live in an apartment and range requirements are minimal, but the reception is very nice (no static), the phone is very easy to use (the buttons are nice size), you can dial a number before connecting (in case you mess up), and the phone fits very nicely in my hand and against my ear. I would highly recommend this phone. The second unit is also a nice touch, particularly since it doesn't require a phone jack.

Summary: Great sound and range - missing 2 key features though...
Review: I've owned a variety of multi-handset 2.4Ghz phones, the last pair being Siemens. This one (in my environment) provides greater range than other models and good clarity.

Beware two shortcomings compared to a Siemens: (a) You cannot use both handsets simultaneously. Although you can transfer a call between handsets you can't pick up on a call in progress from the unused handset. (b) There is no visual indication of remaining battery life. If you are like me and don't like to charge the phone until it is almost dead - you have to guess.

I still like the phone, though, and would recommend it to anyone who needs superior range and wall-penetration.

Summary: Excellent volume and big directory!
Review: If your looking for a phone with clarity, volume and the ability to hold up to 100 names and numbers in the directory, look no more!

Advantages:

* The caller ID and directory share the same memory so let's say if you have 75 names in the directory you have 25 memory slots left for caller ID info. As your directory grows your caller ID slots grow shorter.
* Lots of clear volume.
* Easy to read display

Disadvantages:

* Cannot send directories to other phones
* Cannot add any more phones to system (2 phone limit)
* No speaker phone in base
* Wish phone had caller ID and directory matching. When someone calls thats in your directory it would come up on the display as it is shown in the directory
* END button is really to small. I wish Uniden would have just used the TALK button made to also end the call.

With everything considered these phones work well and should be considered when looking for a 2.4GHz cordless phone.

Summary: Great Phone
Review: Recently purchased this phone and I'm glad I did. All of the features are super. The phone is clear and works well all around the house and even out in the yard. Very close resemblence to a mobile phone. If you want a good phone for your house, this is the one to get.

Summary: Good Value, work in progress
Review: SOUND QUALITY - VG
RANGE- VG
PRICE/FEATURES- VG
ERGONMICS - Needs Improvement - End button too small, volume get hits instead and you wonder why you can't hear anyone. Handset can be tippy in base and easily falls out when knocked or not set properly.
PRODUCT INFORMATION - Poor? - I did research and did not realize you can't use both handsets and the same time.
MATERIALS - Needs Improvement - Both handsets have the grey coating worn off from contact with body.

Summary: Charging of the Phone
Review: These phones are awesome, crystal clear, easy to use with too many features to list. I have been very pleased with mine with two exceptions. One problem is I like the phone so much I'd like another handset and I can't find them sold seperately. Another problem is that the 2.4GHz Is the same frequency as my Linksys wireless router and it knocks my router signal and my second and third computer lose their wireless connection. I have to reset the router after each call. Other than that, I have been so pleased with my phones!

Summary: sounds like a cell phone
Review: This is the first time I've ever written a review but feel it is so important because this is one of the worst products we've ever bought. We bought the phones for xmas. Everything on the phones work very well (range, caller ID, phone book, phone page, etc) except that it sounds like you're on a cell phone when you use this phone. One problem is that if you and the caller ever start talking at the same time, it's impossible to hear what the person said so you have to keep saying, "what was that?". I've called home and my husband sounds like he's talking on a cell phone - it's not static at all but just unclear. We've heard that from friends and relatives too. Maybe ours is defective but now we're stuck with it and will have to swallow the cost and start looking for a new one...live and learn I guess.

Summary: Good product, only a few drawbacks
Review: This phone system is generally a good product. I have had it for over a year and have not seen any of the problems stated in the negative reviews. It has some drawbacks though. 1) You cannot use two of these phones at once, they use the same receiver and therefore the first phone on occupies the line. 2) You cannot transfer memory contents between phones as some product can. 3) It is no better in range than a quality 900MHz phone, but this is true of many 2.4GHz phones. 4) While talking, the phone transmissions will conflict with most home wireless PC networks.

On the plus side, it is a quality product with easy to use controls (as opposed to the Seimens units). The mute is relatively easy to use and the remote ear/mic jack is useful for headsets. The battery charge lasts longer than I've ever required.

Summary: Two phones are not too many
Review: What I like about this phone set:
- Two phones. I'm surprised how much I like having two cordless handsets even though I live in a small house; I keep one on each floor.
- Very good sound quality that is consistant throughout my house.
- Ablity to dial a number like a mobile phone... enter the number, then hit talk.
- Stores lots of names/numbers.
- No annoying blink every time there is a new call in the CID memory.

What I don't like about this phone:
- Very short warning when the battery goes dead... about 10 seconds.
- No programable buttons dedicated to dialing the number assigned to them.
- Attractive, but dull styling.

Overall, I would recommend this phone. Good quality and reliable.
