Summary: Worst Phone Ever!
Review: I thought I could trust AT&T to make a good phone. This phone has yet to work. At first, I thought that the battery in the handset was dead (which is still inexcusable on a new phone). The battery symbol had a line through it which would typically indicate that the battery needs to be charged or replaced. I have been charging this thing for a month with the same result. I had the vendor send me a new battery. No dice. Exact same problem recurs. The speaker phone and answering system work fine. But the handset is useless. Now I have to go through the hassle of sending it back to the vendor. I hope to get a full refund so I can buy a phone that actually works.

Summary: great features, but very poor sound quality.
Review: I want to give this phone a good rating because the features it provides are amazing- I can't find any phones (at least not at a reasonable price) that have all the features this phone has packed into it! I LOVE the talking caller id and the answering system is great as well. Unfortunately, I get the worst static when I use this phone to talk- worse than any other cordless phones I've used. It's got it quirks too- for example if i'm talking on the phone and receive an incoming call which i do not answer, the phone disconnects when the incoming caller hangs up. I can then press the phone button to pick back up my original call- but it gets a little bit annoying. I have friends who have this same phone and experience the same problems I have with it. The people I talk to regularly while using this phone are begging me to get a new phone (the intermittent static sounds are driving them crazy-as well as me!), but like I stated before, the features are so great that I'm having a hard time finding a replacement I like. But I think I'll have to purchase something new and will end up just using this phone for the answering machine and talking caller id.

Summary: great answering machine, horrendous phone
Review: I wish I'd seen the prior reviews before I bought this product last summer. As everyone has said, it has many nice features (most of which I don't need or use), but the reception and sound quality on the cordless phone are a big disappointment. The sound has a "fuzzy" quality and I've always got the volume maxed out in an attempt to hear the other person.

I really hated it at first ... so much so that I hooked my old corded phone back up and used it instead for a while. I've become sufficiently accustomed to the poor sound quality of the cordless to use it occasionally now, but only when I'm not at my desk. I still make the majority of my calls on a corded phone. That's right ... the result of buying this product is that I now have two phones on my desk where I once had one. Not exactly a glowing endorsement.

There seem to be some other quality problems as well. I exchanged the first one I bought because the '5' button on the base keypad only worked intermittently, i.e., you had to punch it at just the right angle to get it to function. And guess what? The second one has the exact same problem. But after getting two of them in a row like that, I figured there was no point in going for a third and I kept the second one.

The answering machine works well enough and that's my main use of this product. I do wish it had a battery backup to retain messages in case of a power outage, but that doesn't seem to be a very common feature in answering machines these days.

Summary: Not recommended
Review: I've had this phone for about 2 years and I already need a replacement. The reception is to the point where no one can hear me when I speak. I'm constantly being asked "What's wrong with your phone"? If you're going to shell out a decent amount of money for a phone, then it should have a longer shelf life than 2 years. I'm relunctant to ever by a AT & T phone again. Think twice before buying this!!

Summary: Doesn't Quite Work Right
Review: The entire set worked well except for one thing -- the handset just stopped working one day. I finally replaced the battery, which was inconveniently only available from AT&T through mail. The other thing I didn't like is that when you have a message, it beeps loudly until you check the message. That's annoying when you're sleeping in the morning, and it's loud enough that I wonder whether the neighbors hear it. Sometimes the handset also gets pretty hot on its own. Aside from all this, the other functions are pretty neat.

Summary: Good features, very poor reception
Review: The features of this phone are great but don't buy it. It has the worst reception and sound quality of any phone I have ever used. The features are not worth suffering through the poor reception and sound quality.

Summary: Expensive phone, terrible product
Review: The most important things to me as far as a phone
goes is the sound quality, and the battery life. While
the battery life seems to be fine, the sound quality
is atrocious.

Spare your ears, and your friends - don't buy this thing.

To boot, mine just died this week after about 4 months of
use, and is no longer operative.

Summary: phone problems
Review: This is a great phone with some really great features. I especially like the the ability to access the answerer from the handset. the problem has been that I have bought 2 & both are broken. The first one had several broken components including the phone button to turn on the machine. I frequently could not gat a dial tone until I smacked it on the side but then the cover on the battery would sometimes fall off & the battery would fall out. The store refused to take it back because I had bought it more than 30 days before. So I bought a second one, hoping that I could get AT&T to give me my money back on the first but they would not. Anyway, the second one works a little better but no one can hear me on either outgoing or incoming calls unless I use the headset, which is not always convenient.

I would really like to know if anyone has had similar problems. I really do like the features of the phone & have been hard pressed to find a substitute with all the same features.

Summary: Worst phone I have ever owned!!
Review: This is the biggest piece of ... I have ever wasted my money on!! The sound is awful. You often have to redial many times to get the call to go through (and dial very slowly I might add) I'd say about 10 percent of the time, I couldn't even get a dial tone, always searching for a signal even when standing right next to the base. I bought it about 3 months ago, and at this minute, the phone sits staring at me from the garbage pail. Save yourself the headache... DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!
