Summary: Very decent phone
Review: I got this phone after several buttons on my Panasonic phone got sticky after about a year. I have no major complaints about this phone so far - works well and the sound clarity is good.
I do miss the battery indicator, but it didn't die on me yet.
I don't use the caller ID feature, so I cannot comment on it.
Overall, I think it's a good phone for the money.

Summary: Exceptional Phone
Review: I had been searching for a 2.4GHZ phone, with integrated answering machine, for the last month and have researched all of them. I've owned Sony's, Panasonic's, V-Tech's, AT&T's, etc, and I was never too pleased with the sound quality of these products. After reading some comparisons, and checking with Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase the Uniden TRU-448-2. The sound quality is great. The set-up process is simple, and the owners manual is very in-depth. I would have given this phone 5 stars, but it's limited expandibility held me back. Overall this is a great phone.

Summary: Good phone, but if you have Wi-Fi
Review: I had this phone for about a week. Its a great phone, but if you have a 802.11 Wi-Fi network, you may be frustrated. Everytime I turned the phone on to dial, my wireless network died on all of my Macs and PC's.

Had to go back to 900mhz.

Summary: Great Buy!!!
Review: I had to replace my old cordless cause it would not hold a charge. With this phone it holds a charge and the clarity is great and distance range is also great. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

Summary: Its Great
Review: I have used many cordless phones in the past and have abandoned them for this reason or that. The clarity on this phone is amazing and the range is also outstanding. I believe the issue about not being able to use both handsets simultaneously has to do with security issues, so I am fine with it. The features are good and for the price I paid, it can't be beat. A paging/intercom system would have been nice, but hey I use my phone to talk with people at the other end of the line, not on the same one. I like this phone and highly recommend it.

Summary: Excellent overall system
Review: I have used this phone for two weeks now. I have no complaints. The reception is excellent and the battery life is much longer than my ATT or Panasonic phones. Completed three hour call with no low battery tone. Answering system is straight forward and easy to use.

Best bet for the money I have found.

Summary: Two months of Happiness, Lifetime of Hell....
Review: I ignored some of the bad words I'd heard on this phone and made the purchase. Everything was great for about two months...then, both of the handsets began cutting out, so that you couldn't hear the person on the other end. Seems like a short, because you could smack the side of the phone and it would work again for a minute or so.

Disappointing to say the least. Another drawback is that the speaker phone sound quality is horrible (no one can hear you unless your mouth is literally on the mic), and you can't dial out from the base.

I'm on my way out the door to return this thing ...(luckily bought an extended warranty). First of all, when buying any of the 2.4 ghz phones (they're chock full of problems), buy somewhere ...where you can purchase the extended warranty. Second of all, stay away for this Uniden.

Good luck!

Summary: Good phone, but has some problems
Review: I just bought this phone & was worried with the brand cause I never heard of it. I love the second handset cause I dont have a jack in my bedroom so that was a main reason of buying it. The problems I have with it, is that when you use the microwave & talk on the phone its all static. When I'm in a certin room in the house it sounds like I'm on a cell phone. After using it for awhile you get used to it. Also when you put the phone on the charger you have to wait to see if its on it the right way. You cant just put it in the charger & walk away( I learned the hard way) just make sure its on the right way & sometimes you have to move it a couple of times. But I like the phone anyway. Theres always a problem with any phone, nothings perfect!

Summary: It's "OK"
Review: I love the new technology of dual handsets, but the phone's reception on the handsets is very tunnel like, while the caller hears crisp clean voice.

I do like the ability to check the answering machine from both handsets without going to the base. Don't go near the microwave when using the phone it does crackle. Over all I'd say its "OK".

Summary: good bargain
Review: i really like these phones. you can check your messages from either phone or you can call your # from an outside phone and get your messages. the phone has a blinking led when you have a message. you cant talk on both phones at once (only one receiver) but the base is a speakerphone. it has call waiting with caller id which i could not live without now. if someone calls why you are on the phone and you have call waiting/caller id you can initiate a 3-way conversation. i havent had the "tunnel" problem mentioned in other reviews. i think this set is worth every bit of $.
