Summary: Charging problem
Review: After these were rated a best buy in Consumer Reports I bought three of them (bases and handsets) for my house. After a few months two of them developed a problem with charging. When you drop the handset into the cradle, it does not make good contact with the charging elements. If you jiggle it a bit, the red "charging" light comes on, and it charges. This has been annoying for the past six months, as sometimes you pick up the phone to answer a call, and the handset is dead as it was not charging in the cradle. Cleaning the contacts on the phone and the base has made no difference. The problem has gradually progressed, and now even with jiggling, on one set no contact can be made, and the handset will not charge. At [the price]/each, it would be more trouble to return them than they are worth - I am going to throw them away, and replace them (with a different brand). It is curious that no one else has reported this problem, but it happened to two of three of these phones I purchased.

Summary: Good for its price, but wont last....
Review: bought this phone seeing the consumer reports best value.
it was pretty good for a year, now the sound quality is terrible and very staticy. so be prepared to replace it after a year, which isnt that terrible considering the price.

Summary: it's ok
Review: Bought two of these a few months ago ... For the money, they're fine. I have problems with mine echoing when I talk, but I can go everywhere--upstairs, downstairs, the porch--with them and have no problems. I also have problems with my speed dials not connecting (skipping a number, maybe?) but that might just be the phone service. Not great for holding between shoulder and chin, but that's not healthy for you anyhow.

Summary: Very Happy with it. Two years and still works great
Review: Contrary to what a lot of other reviewers have mentioned, my phone has worked very well for the past 20 months. We used it on the average about 2 hours everyday and placed it back on the charging base almost every night. I have changed the battery once about 19 months after buying the phone. For the $19.99 price this is the best value for money I have ever seen in a cordless phone.

Summary: A decent device, especially for the price.
Review: Fairly clear sound, both incoming and outgoing.
Battery life seems OK.
Simple operation.
Good ergonomics, comfortable handset.
Strange wall mounting, juts into the room.
Caller ID faces out for easy reading.

This is a good value. In my experience, no wireless phone has "corded phone quality", and the EXI376 is no exception. But, as cordless phones go, it has very good reception and transmission, all for a very reasonable price. What more do you need?

Summary: So far, so good
Review: Have only had this a week, but so far it's ten times better than the 2.4Ghz phone I bought just 6 months ago. Decent sound quality, an earphone jack, long battery life, and decent range, all at a great price. Not at all bad. Bought it because it was rated highly by a popular consumer mag. Meets my expections.

Summary: Works like a $100 phone!
Review: I have an expensive $200 digital answering machine phone. It is a great phone, with excellent features.

The EXI376 phone has the EXACT same features, without the Digital Answering Machine, but costs that much less! The sound quality is CRYSTAL clear, and it can hold up to 10 names in the memory. The RocketDial feature is great, for easy one-touch calling!

I HIGHLY recommend this product, to anyone.

Summary: Great Phone Indeed
Review: I used this one before I upgraded to a 2.4ghz Xact cordless phone. This one was great. You could go a long way away from where the charger was and still pick up a dial tone. I used to go over to my friend's house...he lived next door..and in case someone called me,I took this with me and I still got to chat with them without being at home.

Summary: A little disappointed
Review: I was not expecting perfection, but I am unable to get a clear sound in many areas of my apartment. I am usually forced to keep moving around to avoid interference. (my friend has the exact same problem with the same model phone)

Also, the connection with the charger is a bit spotty and that also needs to be jiggled around to avoid having the battery die out on me.

I would not buy the phone again. I am surprised that it was rated a best buy from Consumer Reports.

Summary: Great phone for the price
Review: I would agree with what most of the other reviewers have said about this phone, but there were a few things they didn't touch on, and actually were the reasons I bought this phone...

The ringer has an on/off switch and since most phones nowawdays have such obnoxious rings this is a good feature since I have this phone in my bedroom.

It is comfortable to hold, and if you need both of your hands, you can actually hold this one on your shoulder. For some inexplicable reason ALL the phone manufacturers have decided to make their phones flat; and by doing so, it makes them hard to use hands free either because the shape is wrong or because by holding it this way, your face pushes the buttons, and you can end up losing your call. With this phone however, the shape is right and although your face does touch the buttons, they aren't so sensitive that you'll be hanging up on your friends!

One last thing; the caller ID screen is easy to read and is backlit, which is a really nice feature, especially in a bedroom.
