Summary: Not simple for users
Review: This radio sounds good at first, but you will need to get an FCC license to operate this radio legally. Most people in the "FRS" market really don't need the extra power, cost and hassle of GMRS. So I'd label this radio "don't try this at home", unless you are a serious GMRS user.
