These Uniden GMRS radios offer twenty-two total channels (8 GMRS and 14 FRS), along with thirty-eight sub-channels for added privacy. It also includes seven NOAA weather channels, along with a weather alert system, to keep you ahead of changing weather events. The four AA batteries (included) will run the radios for an impressive eighteen hours. The radios come with recharging circuitry should you decide to purchase the recharging kit assessory. The radios also come VOX-ready, although a optional headset will be needed. The GMRS channels will provide up to a seven mile range. Other features include: backlit LCD display, channel lock, keypad lock, channel scan, five call tones and channel monitoring. Remember that you will need an FCC license to operate these radios.
