Rating: Summary: Colorful Fun Review: The Vtalk is a fun product to play with but also is very useful. As a college student I found it to be an effective commincation device to use on campus. The reason is that I could communicate with my fiancee making it easier for us to coordinate our schedules. The only problem is that the signal was sometimes a bit scratchy. All in all this is well worth the investment.
Rating: Summary: Dead after 2 uses Review: These are cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have 3, but after only 10 hours of use, 1 died. It transmits but does not receive. They DRINK batteries ! Get a rechargeable model.
Rating: Summary: Good performance for the price Review: These walkie-talkies run on 4 AAA batteries that will last a long time. I was skeptical to purchase a pair because of the "cheap" price but I took my chances. After testing them out in a residential area and at the mall, they have a range of approximately 1 mile (clear reception) and possibly a little more (with static). These radios aren't "top-of-the-line" but with an affordable price, the overall performance makes them a bargain.

Rating: Summary: Great for traveling Review: We recently went on a short trip with some friends of ours. We took separate cars because of the kids. These worked great. They are good for letting the other people know when you are stopping for a bathroom break or just for stretching. They work best on flat stretches of highway if you get separated from the other vehicle. They really work for about 2 miles on these stretches. If there are hills or trees, you can expect the receiption to be decreased. Overall, I would recommend these. They are cheap, but work as well as the more expensive models. Why pay more money for something you're not going to be using everyday? Save that money for the trip.
Rating: Summary: technical data? Review: Where is the really useful technical data? Like the working distance and battery life? Show me the numbers, or how can I be sure it's a good deal?
