Summary: Great Bang for the Buck
Review: I recently purchased a pair of Midland 2-way radio's and I am absolutely satisfied with the performance of these radios. I wasn't sure what to expect for a radio in this price range. I was amazed on the compact size, (fits in a shirt pocket) and the durable design. I have compared other 2-way radios, and for the price, you can't go wrong. The only complaint about them, is that they do not have the range as advertised. The range is more like 1 1/2 miles compared to the 2 miles that is proclaimed. Other than that, there are no other complaints. If you are a leisure user, and a user with children, then these are the radios to buy.

Review: i bought these about 3 weeks ago-for a relatives birthday present and decided to try them out first,well i am now keeping them!they work really well,and for the price it is a great deal. we have used these at parks,supermarkets,at home and the mall to keep track of family members.-2 thumbs up.(only problem is i have to buy another present lol).

Review: I bought these radios a little while ago, and I'll tell you THEY ARE GREAT! and there not as pricy as other nice ones. I would say that the best thing is the scan feature. I can always pick up my friend's transmissions and find other people who are on. If you're going on a trip or car ride get these.

Review: So maybe they only have 1.5 range instead of a 2 as it claims. But for the price they are great. I use them all the time. If you are looking for a low-price family radio get these. At 75% off who can resist!

Review: These little things are great! I took them with me on vacation, and used them in the hotel. They worked between 4 floors with no interfernece! And while scanning channels we found other people with the same radios! We never had any problems with them and they worked just as advertised!

Review: Ok, I just got 4 of these 2 way radios for my frineds and I. THEY ARE GRGEAT! We have used them a lot considering we just got them. We plan to use them ALL SUMMER VACATION! (WOOHOO 4 summer)But if your are looking for a great pair of radios GET THESE! Because they aren't as pricy as "others" on the market. All in all these are a great pair of 2 way radios!@!

Summary: 2-mile range please
Review: HI, it say that it is a 2-mile range. Worng, I got the range up to 10 to 11 mile near metel and other eletric devices. It says in the manuel that metel and other eletric devices that lower the range. It doesent reduce the range.

Summary: Poor Audio Performance and Poor Battery Life.....
Review: This unit has very poor audio in comparison to some higher-end units and it is most likely due to the size and type of speaker used in the unit because when I used an external speaker-mike the audio was much better. As for the the battery life...It is a weird thing. Midland had the right idea to shut of the LED display while on a single channel, which definetly improves battery life, but when the unit is scanning the display stays on. As for the durability of the unit, it is fairly obvious that the battery door on the back of the unit is a very poor design and comes open accidently. In general, I would have to say that it's worth spending a few more dollars and buying something half-decent.
