Summary: Motorola talkabout 250
Review: The motorola talkabout 250 is an excellent product. It may not have some of the features that some of the other do, but is a very good radio. If you plan on using it in very populated areas, some radios with better scan features may work better for you. But, if you plan on using it out in the more open country, it is a very good choice. For camping,hunting,backpacking or any other outdoor sports it is probably the best. It has excellent range and I feel is the most durable radio on the market. For example, I was using mine when rock climbing with some friends, accidentally I dropped mine 100 feet on to a rock ledge. Amazingly the radio still works. It had a few cracks but we still use it today.

Review: These are terrific radios. We have used ours hiking, at the mall, at amusement parks, on road trips to communicate between vehicles, at sporting events, and just for fun around the house. The range is great. The sound quality is acceptable. The price is terrific. We just bought two more!

Review: This is probably the best walkie talkie you can get price wise. It's price is Super and the Preformence is a 6/10. It goes up to 2 miles and if you get the yellow one is perfect for the Mountains. If you drop it you can easily find it because it will stand out. All in all I rate this product an 8/10.

Review: Used this product in Aruba last May with great pleasure. Clarity was great with no static. Good distance too inside or out. A great way to keep touch with family members going two different directions. Didn't run into anyone using the chosen channel, but in talking with a hotel employee who arranges outside tours, the TalkAbout was a novelty that they hadn't seen. So doubt may others were using them. The real test of channel availability will be when we take our next trip to Disney World. The push to talk button should be placed on the side for easy of use. Other than that minor annoyance, recommend this product highly.

Summary: Useful in many ways
Review: We found the range of the radio to be over 2 miles line-of-sight over water. Through heavy woods, the range dropped to about a half mile. Range is more than adequate for most uses.The radios are great for team shopping in large stores. They are not obtrusive to others because they are small and do not have any static noise. They are completely quiet unless receiving a message . It's easy to ask questions of the other shoppers without having to find them.

Review: We purchased a pair of the Motorola TalkAbout 250 a year ago for my son's birthday since we had a family trip planned to Disney. We were so pleased when they arrived that I ordered two more for my husband. Not only were they terrific at Disney, but we use them at the lake or on fishing trips or just on walks in the neighborhood. The reception is unbelievable and although we use regular batteries, they seem to have a long life. We would definitely purchase the TalkAbout 250 as a gift for other family members.

Review: We've had these radios in sub-zero temperatures while skiing, hiking through the "canyons" of Venice, Italy, and everywhere in between. I've spoken at ranges of up to 8 miles on a clear day with no intervening terrain. These things are G-R-E-A-T!!! Get one for every family member. Whether it is on vacation or the mall -- they make life so much easier. No more, "we'll meet back here in 2 hours," and no more using a cell phone to find someone two stores away in the mall. You want them, you need them -- buy them!
