Summary: Great for road trips....
Review: Took these on a little road trip from New York to Florida..they worked great and allowed us to communicate from a decent distance between the two cars.The only downside is that these are popular and often times you will pick up other people. The solution is to just change to a different frequency, otherwise a great buy at this price.

Review: Well-designed, (Push-to-talk button is well placed on the side) durable, good range, SUPERB RECEPTION - extremely clear (no static at all!), much better than my old T289's! The volume switch could be a little easy to accidentally change when the radio is in your pocket, though.
