Summary: Excellent, but...
Review: THESE ARE THE BEST HEADPHONES YOU CAN GET FOR [low price]. THEY HAVE THE SOUND OF [expensive] HEADPHONES. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IN COLD WEATHER GETING THEM TO STAY ALL THE WAY IN THE EAR FOR MAXIMUM SOUND QAULITY. FOR INDOOR USAGE WITHOUT A LOT OF JUMPING AROUND THEY ARE EXCELLENT.IF THE MX300's ARE AVAILABLE THEY ARE EVEN A BETTER BUY AT ONLY [cheaper] AND NOT THAT MUCH SOUND DIFFERENCE FROM THE MX500's.

Summary: Too much high
Review: These have fairly good sound, decent bass, and a volume control, that actually boosts volume for the Palm TT. However, I find them too tinny, to much output on the highs. I'm returning them. The headphones that come with the Clie SJ33 sound better, which are MDR 808V which I think are comparible to the MDR E829V - am going to give them a try.

Summary: Another excellent Sennheiser product!
Review: These headphones sound absolutely great! The highs are crisp without being at all buzzy, and the low end is tight and distortion-free. The icing on the cake is their fit; I can hardly tell they're in my ear! I highly recommend ordering these and waiting a few days instead of running out and buying a likely more expensive and lesser-sounding pair at a retail store.

Summary: Compared to other earbuds for the price, these compete well.
Review: This review is for the Sennheiser MX-500 Stereo In-Ear Headphones (Blue) when used with a Dell laptop (Crystal WDM Audio). I disagree with a lot of folks who have compared these decent earbuds with dis-similar products. I did a comparison with a pair of Panasonic RP-HC50 earbuds my pal had and the Sennheiser won.
PROS: Frequency response is excellent (18Hz-25000Hz) for a variety of music. There is no manipulation to the sound and you hear the original notes with the same treble and bass.
CONS: Bass could have been a little more improved. Some distortion in lower frequency ranges, but only noticeable in very clear (and high bitrate) audio files. Higher frequencies tend to produce a slight hiss, again mostly noted in high bit-rate audio files.
Overall good buds at a slight premium (20%).

Summary: Very good earbuds
Review: To the people who claim that these earbuds don't reproduce the bass and/or the treble well: I think you should get you ears checked. These earbuds sound great. My only problem is that I think the cord is about 6" too short. I also wish they're stay in my ears better but that's probably a problem with my ears.

Review: was told about these from my bro (the family audiophile). i needed an extra pair and wanted something better than the sony ones i already owned. these are amazing! the sound is way better and well worth the extra money over cheaper models! enjoy.

Summary: These Senns da Bomb!
Review: Way bettah than your garden variety headphones that come standard with your ipod or discman or whatever! The levels come through crisp and clear. Just like the artist intended. Volume control on cord is great for commuting. I order a coffee and turn down the volume without having to take out my ipod. Heck yeah!! Check them before you wreck yourself on anything less. Boo-yah!

Summary: Great sound for your Money !!!
Review: Without a doubt, the Sennheiser MX-500 is the "Second best buy" you can get for your money. The "First" is the Koss KSC-35's, But they are almost impossible to find anymore, and are no longer being produced. For the price of [$$], the MX-500 gives you a deep enough Bass,a pleasant Mid-Range, and a decent High-Range. And the "sound-stage" is nicely centered. The hardest thing about it is finding the "best fit". Because the foam pads that come with it are too "skimppy", I add-on a second, heavier pad. .... The end result is soft-feeling earbuds that fit snugly, and won't fall out...

Review: WOW! I had lusted after my friends IPod whose earphones are first rate. I bought the Archos Jukebox 20 and the Sennheiser MX500 earphones--the sound is equal to or better than the Apple--just not as cool. These earphones are worth the money. I don't understand the other reviews. But, to each....

Summary: This skeptic was impressed...
Review: Wow. I didn't really think you could get good sound out of earbud-style headphones. I mean, they're so *small* -- how could they sound good? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the Sennheiser MX500's. I upgraded from an older pair of same-style headphones made by Sony, and could immediately tell the difference. I was amazed at the amount of bass they could produce. But the sound isn't muddy; you can still appreciate the high treble and middle-tone sound stages. Volume is good, too. Some of my music (mainly MP3s, but I also listen to high-bitrate Internet radio) was too much for my old headphones. They'd just crater trying to reproduce the levels. The Sennheisers work great; they deliver the levels effortlessly. I was also initially skeptical about the price. Like I said before, I didn't think these guys could live up to the other glowing reviews people had left. Certainly they weren't *really* worth the price. But as I listen to my music for a significant portion of my workday, 5 days a week, I thought they'd be worth trying out. I'm glad I did -- I think they're worth every penny and then some. Really appreciate your tunes? Try 'em. You'll like 'em.
