Summary: Are You Sure!
Review: Are you sure this is a hands free kit? Hands free kit leads you to believe that it comes with a speaker - it doesn't. For the price I would have thought that it would. It contains a car charger, the ear bud you already have and holder. I give it 2 stars because it is a OEM car charger and ear bud. Don't waste your money. :-{

Review: I was very disappointed with this product: there is really nothing hands free about it. You get a few basic pieces: (1) a mechanical phone holder that you need to mount somewhere in your car. It has a spring-loaded sliding gizmo that "grabs" your phone. If you aren't careful about exactly how you insert your phone into the holder, the spring-loaded arm clamps down on your volume button, which locks up the phone (i.e. renders it useless). (2) an earbud with microphone. You need to plug the earbud into your phone, an operation that is difficult to do once the phone is in its holder. (3) A charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter. For some reason, Samsung is the one company that can't even build this piece well. In one of my cars, the charger fits into the cigarette lighter so loosely, it frequently stops charging the phone. I usually notice this only when I've reached my destination -- there is a small light on the charger to indicate connectivity, but you don't really notice when the light goes off, given that you're, well, supposed to be focused on driving the car.

By comparison, a *good* hands-free kit will provide (1) a wiring solution that allows you to connect the kit to the car's power, (2) a solid recepticle for the phone with integrated electrical connections necessary for charging, microphone, speaker, etc. (3) the capability to automatically mute the car's stereo when the phone is in use, (4) a remote microphone and (5) a high-quality speaker (or interface with the car's stereo such that the output comes through the car's speakers).

I definitely don't recommend buying this product, though I have not yet been able to find a suitable replacement.
