Summary: Looks cool but didn't work well for me
Review: I bought this case and returned it about half and hour after I bought it. It looks neat however the biggest problem with it is that the belt clip only accomodates thin width belts. I have a medium width belt and the clip wouldnt even fit over it.

While I had no problems with the magnetic closure mechanism, I found the case a bit too tight fitting. Maybe this is something that would get better with time as the leather stretches with wear, but I couldn't help but think that it was so tight on my Color Sidekick that it might damage the screen or wear off the paint prematurely had I continued using this case.

I have gone with the cheaper Neoprene case and like that one much better. I am also keeping my eye out for the new leather Covertec case (which looks very nice but is not yet released).

Summary: A great case!
Review: I hated the leather cover that came with my Sidekick - it seemed silly to have a vertical pouch for a device that is used horizontally. This cover solves that issue.

The pros: the magnetic snap holds well but is not difficult to open, and a finger hole in the center bottom makes it easy to get the device out. The attached belt clip holds firm and is much better quality than most belt clips I've purchased as phone accessories in the past. The interior suede provides a good soft surface to protect the easily-scratched screen.

The cons: It's a good thing the finger hole is there! In order to close the snap cover, one must really jam the Sidekick into the pouch. It seems as though the vertical height of the pouch is just a millimeter or two less than what it should be.

This was an expensive accessory for the Sidekick, but worth it to be able to keep it covered without the inconvenience of the pouch that came from the factory. It also looks very sharp!

Summary: Good case for the hiptop
Review: I won one of these during the Hiptop Nation Halloween Scavenger Hunt, and I've had it for a few months now. It's a huge upgrade over the case that comes with the Sidekick. It's real leather, and very thick, so it'll prtect your phone a lot better than the fake leather case. It holds the phone horizontally, and allows access to the ports on the top and sides, which is a great feature. It holds the phone very snug, so it won't come out unless you want it to. The belt clip is very string, and you won't find yourself pulling the case off you belt/pants when you try to take the phone out. The only problem I've had is the strap that goes over the top is just a little too short, and it's taken some working in to get the clasp to close all the way with the phone inside. But once the leather has stretched a little, it'll close ok. I highly recommened this case.

Summary: A great case!
Review: Like a good baseball glove, the case's leather is stiff and tight until you work the leather and get it soft. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even get the clip closed until I spent about 10 minutes flexing the leather and the strap. once I did that, the case was the perfect size, and the clip fit perfectly. If it were any larger (to make it fit perfectly out of the box), it would age and stretch to a point that would make it too big. People who don't have success with this case don't know how to prepare and use it. I have tried several Sidekick cases, and this is my favorite design. The horizontal placement is much more comfortable than the original case's vertical storage.

Summary: Little Style - Little Security
Review: The leather side pouch for the T-Mobile Sidekick/Danger Hiptop looks much better in the photo than it does in actuality. The accent color (light brown) is harsh against the black surface. It is extremely obvious at a distance. The large magnet button-clasp's gawdiness only adds to the fashion nightmare. The belt clip forces the case far from the hip at an awkward angle.

The magnet clasp is reluctant to stay shut and frequently comes open unaided. This is a major flaw in terms of securing your device.

The case is an extremely tight fit for the Sidekick and it is very difficult to get the unit in and out. I'm told that the leather will 'give' over time; but I didn't keep mine long enough to find out.

I returned mine after two days of ownership. I actually prefer the case that came with the Sidekick over this one.

Summary: Buyer Beware, you could flush money right down the toilet
Review: this case looks cool, but I warn you, the magnetic snap does not work very well and my sidekick slipped out into a toilet, destroying the phone! [...] down the drain because of a weak snap! Someone thought it would be smart to have a magnet instead of a snap, but in reality, it does not hold the phone in place enough. [...]
