Summary: Okay sound, but no match for samsung uproar phone
Review: I bought this to replace my Samsung Uproar phone when I dropped Sprint PCS. I was initially disappionted because the uproar is so good in comparison, but I've quickly gotten over that. I like it and would buy it again. Here are some things to keep in mind.

Pros:
Decent sound quality
uses removable memory so you can put in a bigger card
easy file transfer
[inexpensive]P>Cons:
No equalizer controls
Uses bulky parallel port memory card reader
Uses Multimedia memory cards (they're still a little pricy compared to smart memory or CF cards)
uses non-standard earphones (can't use your walkman phones)
memory card can slip out of place and stop playing
easy to accidentally disconnect the player from the phone when moving around.

Summary: I'm pretty impressed
Review: I just got one of these for my Ericsson T-68i. It doesn't come with a usb reader which is a real hassle. I already had a Multimedia Card Reader so I didn't have to put up with Ericsson's mouse port/serial port contraption. Otherwise, it works fantastically. Also, it can be found very cheaply if you search around the web a bit.

Summary: Shop around and educate yourself
Review: I wanted to lay down the FACTS that may help you.

- You CAN use any standard MMC compliant memory, im using 256MB myself, and compress any bitrate, im getting over 4 hours at CD quality (128 Joint).
-Memory is not so expensive if you shop around, i payed less than 33 cents a Meg for that card (including shipping).
- You CAN buy an adaptor to convert the 3/32" stero jack to 1/4" stero standard ear phone size.Im certain the ancient parallel port writer that comes with it, will never work in XP, but you CAN use any MMC writer.

Its not the most sturdy, but its very light, and the sound quality is very good. My only gripe about construction is that the card does tend to get easy jolted and stop playing.

Personally I connect it directly to the HCH-28 car holder and leave it there. I use the output to my stereo system rather than ear phones, and i got a MP3 hands free all in one.

It does have the option for Auto and/or Random play when connected.

In conlusion:
-It makes the phone too long and awkward when connected.
-For this price its way not worth it.
-But if you get it as a gift id give it 3 or 4 stars

Summary: Cool gadget / expensive music - Buy a MD Player!
Review: If you just want to add one more gadget to your collection (as I did) then go ahead an buy it. Although the headphones look cheap they have great bass response and the sound is fairly good (not close to the Sony MDRE888 earbuds though).

The main problem with this (and other MP3 players) is that each megabyte is going to cost... Look up the price here in Amazon -Sandisk Multimedia Card-). The 32MB card that comes with the kit can hold 6-7 songs of 3 or 4 minutes.

If you are looking for a player to listen to thezillions of songs you've donwloaded from the internet, your are better off buying one of those new MD Players with MDLP (long play). In LP2 mode you can record around 150 minutes of music of near CD quality in one minidisk (each one costing the same as 1MB worth of a memory card). The player can cost you around [price] an may even include a PC link that will let you to digitally record your music from your PC (i.e. the Sony MZR700).

The only inconvenient is that instead of downloading the music, you'll have to record each song separatelly.

However, the MP3 player is not a bad deal. You get a multimedia card reader (although not USB capable), a hands free earphones/mic, the multimedia card plus the player itself.

And, of course, it's great to be able to listen to your music without having to carry an extra gadget.

Summary: Something I didn't know I wanted.....
Review: My husband got me this as a Christmas gift and I was politely excited. It honestly was something that never crossed my mind as being something I needed or wanted. But, now that I have it, I can't believe I wasn't asking for it in the first place. What I like the most about it is that it is convenient for when I am working out, etc. I bought the phone holster and clip to go with the phone so I can hook my phone onto whatever I'm wearing, attach the mp3 player, listen to music AND have the added convenience and safety of having my cell phone with me too. And all of that is right together in one little sleek unit instead of a bulky walkman or a cell phone jiggling around in my pocket. I think this has really good sound quality too, much better than I expected. My only complaint about this is that the earphones are not that comfortable in my ears and I can't switch them out with standard walkman earphones. And I do agree that the multi media cards are still quite pricey. My 32mb holds about 10 songs at a time.

Summary: This product is amazing
Review: The best thing of this mp3 player is that it uses the screen of the cellphone, it is bigger and better than most of the mp3 players out there, another plus is the bass and treble adjust. The best part is that you can use the flash card as a drive, I use it to share files to my laptop. overall this product beated all my expectations, definately I recommend it to anybody that has the T28 phone.

Summary: If you just want music
Review: The concept is great, but the implementation not so good. Fist problem, is that they don't say which earphone is goes in what ear. Why is this important? Because in only one orientation is the microphone pointing towards your mouth.

The control button doesn't feel significantly different from the rest of the control pod, finding it is irritating at best. Without having controls on the control pod, forget about changing volume, forwarding pausing or anything while you are moving.

You can't easily make calls while listening to music, you have to get back to do so. Speaking of listening to music, you can't use all 32Megs of the memory card, only about 30 megs windows complains about lack of space way before.

Transfering to the card is slow, I had to go to some third party website to download drivers because Windows ME kept crashing with the drivers in the box.

Its only redeaming feature it has is its ability to pause the songs during an incoming call, then start right back up when the call ends. I haven't noticed it reducing my battery life, but it does make the phone hot. Inshort if you just want a straight forward MP3 player, that once you start it you don't touch it again its great. As an add on to a phone its great, as a player it is worse than the first generation MP3 players.

Did I mention it doesn't read the ID3 tags? Also where can you buy these MultiMedia Cards?

Summary: Great fun for the car
Review: The MP3 player is great. First when your listening and someone calls the music stops and the call is answered. Then so as the call has ended the music continues playing. You can add more music buy buying more MMC cards(which are some what cheap in comparison to other flash cards). It's great for in the car, you can purchase a cassette adapter which plugs into to headphone jack on the MP3 player portion of the phone. Now you can listen to your favorite tunes while on the road. The only two draw backs which you have to realize are size and power. When the MP3 player is clipped on, it will no fit in any standard case. Also with the tunes comes a large need for more power. The MP3 player sucks the battery dry in less than six hours. However if you love music and don't bother with cases or batteries, this is a great add on for your T28, T28s, T28sc, or T28world. Love The Tunes

Summary: Ericsson Mp3 Handsfree HPM-10
Review: This is a cool product. Instead of having all these different electronic gadgets with you, you can have a cell phone and mp3 player in one. I got mine the other day and it runs great. As a matter of fact I got some extra .... Since it comes with a 32 meg card, you might need to get another card but they are pretty cheap if you shop around. I'd recommend it to anyone.
