Rating: Summary: Nice car kit! Review: Car kit works really well. I had the advantage of having a 6160 car kit installed so all I did was replace the phone holder and plug in the mic that I already had installed with the old kit.4 not 5 stars because phone holder doesn't have the 'rock solid' feel of the 6160 kit
Rating: Summary: Great sound but the installation should be better Review: Nokia should know better. First let me tell you that the sound is great on the speakerphone. I have a small Celica, and the car is filled with sound with this powerful speakerphone. The mic sounds clear (or so I hear from my friends), and I have no problems with it. Here are my issues with the installation. First the cell phone requires a new back (battery cover) for it to work on the stand. I have switch battery covers every time I need to use it in the stand in the car. Next, the phone holder comes with SCREWS for the dashboard. I had to go to Home Depot and buy some heavy duty 2 sided 3M adhesive to get the unit to stick to the dash. There is no way I am putting screw holes all over my new leased car. And finally, the wires. You will have some serious wires running around your dash with this unit. There is a wire from the phone to the speakerphone, from the speakerphone into the car charger, and from the mic to the speakerphone. But... Despite all it's shortcomings, the unit's quality of performance lets me recommend it anyway. After all, the comfort I have now is worth the wires and the hassle I went through for the install.

Rating: Summary: Good but with a fair amount of static Review: The installation was not too difficult, though I didn't actually use the handset mount (I find it just as easy to dial by picking up the phone). Running the mike wire is fairly simple once you figure out the routing of the wire (be sure it won't come lose and drop down into your peddle area). The only fault I have with it is that I get a frequent clicking noise when the phone is plugged in. It doesn't seem to be engine related, so it's a bit peculiar. I have yet to call Nokia, however. All in all, a lot better than a headset...

Rating: Summary: GREAT PRODUCT BUT 2 CAVEATS Review: This product works great. Good sound in the vehicle and people can hear you very clearly. The 2 downside issues noted in other reviews are worth repeating: 1.) Installation isn't easy (my Lexus dealer did mine for me and pulled the dash to wire the microphone), 2.) You need to either replace the backplate every time you place this unit into the cradle or, as I've done, just bite the bulllet and keep the bulkier hands-free backplate on the phone all the time (has a large clip on the back to hold phone in cradle). Sound is great though! UPDATE/REVISION: After a while, mine developed the static that another reviewer noted above. After sending the speaker (which is hardwired to the cable that connects to the phone itself) back to Nokia, they promptly sent me a new unit and everything works great again.
