Summary: Some major design flaws
Review: I love the look of this case, the fact it is made of leather, and that it enables my phone to attach to my belt. However, the aspects of it that disappoint me are far more numerous:

* the case makes my previously small and sleek phone quite bulky and more cumbersome,
* the screen of the phone could have easily been protected with a clear plastic cover but is left exposed and easier to scratch,
* the phone cannot be placed in a desktop charger without removing the case,
* the case is constantly having to be readjusted because the velcro closure does not hold tight and the case eventually moves in front of some of the holes made for the earpiece making it harder to hear, and
* the placement of the swivel mechanism and the velcro on the case make it more difficult for the phone to actually swivel.

The velcro closure is on the upper back of the case, just above the sewn-in swivel mechanism which slides into the holder on your belt. The width of the velcro closure actually closely matches the width of the grooves in the belt holder, so often times you have to pull your phone straight up to remove it from the belt holder. Otherwise you will pull up the velcro as you remove your phone and your case will not fit properly again. That's not something you want to be dealing with when receiving a call.

It makes me wonder if Nokia did any product testing with real people before releasing this case option to the general public.

Summary: Good looking, but...
Review: I must admit that this case, is by far the best looking case on the market. This is as far as compliments will go however. This case was designed for looks only - no consideration was made for performance, comfort, or security. For example, the flap which closes the case is closed by a tiny velcro strip which too easily "catches" on anything it comes in contact with. This opens the case enough so that by merely kneeling down the phone falls out. Also, this phone unlike previous Nokias is NOT made using the same quality of plastics - this makes the clear lens far to susceptible to scratching. This case ideally would have covered the clear lens thus, alleviating the scratching problem. This leather case is also not very comfortable - when sitting the swivel "bites" into your sides. All in all I guess - "Good luck" is in order if you decide to buy this case.

Summary: I have a question
Review: I was out the other day with my boyfriend and he was looking for the plastic carrying case for the phone. The one that hooks on his belt and he couldn't find it anywhere. He has one for his pager but he doesn't like the leather one that the phone is in. He has had the plastic one for the phone before but he has broken it. We need to find a new one and I was wondering if anyone knows of a place I could buy one. We were in the mall and all the phone places didn't carry them. I don't know where to go next. Thanks for the help.

Review: If you intend it only for car use it`s great.

Summary: Whether there is a better carrying case?
Review: Is it possible to purchase a case that protects the face of the phone? since this one is so sensitive and can easily be scratched. The case should also carry the clip fixed to the case (eg; 5160 model) instead of having it hooked on to a belt clip (the phone easily slides out of the case when stooping). Otherwise no comments.

Summary: The most worthless purchase I have ever made
Review: Months ago when I was shopping for a case, I almost didn't buy this one after reading the negative reviews posted here. I am very glad that I didn't let them pursuade me. This case is the best I've seen. It fits the phone perfectly, the velcro is quite tight, the belt hook swivels easily, and it is quite simple to unhook the phone for talking. I have worn the phone on my belt daily for months. It has never even come close to falling out, unhooking, or being damaged or scratched. I have noticed that most of the negative reviews are from people who had just purchased the case and were just starting to use it. I suspect that they did not fit the phone into the case tightly. As the instructions state, you must push the phone in hard at first to stretch the leather of the case over the bottom corners of the phone and stretch out the strap completely to get total contact between the velcro pads. Take this to heart! After you put the phone into the case a few times, it fits like a glove, holds securely, works conveniently, and looks stylish.

Summary: Beware, Phone Falls Out! and No protection for faceplate
Review: Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's phone has fallen out of this case. ONLY buy this case/clip if you want to carry it on your belt, not for protection, but be careful! My phone fell out of the case today at lunch as I was leaving and the LCD is now broken and does not display ANYTHING. The phone does not come unclipped, the weak velcro that holds the case closed around the phone just comes undone, and the phone slides right out. But also, it does not provide ANY protection for the face, the most fragile part of this phone, and so the face is very scratched. (but this also is an inherent design flaw in the phone itself) So now I am going to have to replace my phone because this case/clip does not provide any protection and actually is prone to not holding the phone. Back to the drawing board, guys.
