Rating: Summary: Seems to work fine Review: The description above says it closes with a zipper - mine uses velcro. The leather fits tightly at first but stretches a little when it's used. The clip seems to be very sturdy; unfortunately, it can scratch or score the surface of a belt if the phone is pulled at the wrong angle (perhaps by a seatbelt, or by brushing against something). One of my favorite belts has some scratches now because of that. The leather is nice quality, is soft to the touch, and the dye doesn't bleed if it gets wet. The case does not cover the earphone or charging jacks on the bottom of the phone, but it does completely obscure the IR windown on the side of the 8290, so the phone must be removed from the case to use the IR features. It may not be apparent from the photo, but the case does not cover/protect the surface of the LCD display nor the keypad, so they may be scratched or splashed; I haven't had trouble with that, but would have preferred that those crucial areas of the phone be better protected from exposure. Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy with it.
Rating: Summary: Great Leather Case Review: This case is good because it allows you to get to most of your functions of your 8290 phone, plus it protects it from drops. The included belt clip is very cool! It is one of the best clips out on the market. I wish they make these in see thru though.
