Rating: Summary: new expiration date ---> 90 days Review: FREE-TO-GO means I have a cell phone at-the-ready; in the event of an emergency. At a price I love...$10.00 for 45 days. Before the 45 days have expired, I can carry over my un-used time at the next refill of air-time.

Rating: Summary: WATCH OUT for SHORT EXPIRATION DATE!! Review: I have been using the AT&T Free2Go phone for years , and I love it. But the refill card I just received from AMAZON expires in 30 days (Dec.31)! Every other card I have purchased has been good for 6 months to a year. So, if you are planning on giving this Refill card to someone or holding it for a while before you activate the minutes, I suggest buying one somewhere else til after Jan. 2005 (when the new stock arrives). AMAZON customer service said they can't do a thing about it, except issue a refund when I return it.
Rating: Summary: new expiration date ---> 90 days Review: I have used the Free To Go phone and phonecard for 3 years. The expiration date on the phonecard has gone from 90 days to 45 days --- and now it's back to 90 days!!! (For 10, 25, 75 cards; for 100 card the expiration date is 1 year - 365 days!!!) --- as of 3/31/04.The per minute cost is high (0.50 for the 10 card), but for emergency purposes, and to always have a phone available, it buys piece of mind. Because of its rollover feature I now have enough money stored on the account that I can use it to make long distance calls without concern for cost - [within reason of course]. For short, infrequent use, the Free To Go phone and phonecard is the way to go. The user needs to decide how long and how often the phone will be use and buy the appropriate card.
Rating: Summary: Finally, something for the rest of us! Review: I love this AT&T prepaid wireless plan! Believe it or not, there are a few of us left that only want a cell phone for emergencies or quick conversations. $10.00 for 45 days is a great deal....just check out the price for a monthly plan. Add another $10.00 minumum before the 45 days is up and any minutes you have left carry over! This plan offers voice mail, text messaging, different tones and other extras! Be sure to check out this wireless plan if you don't already have it!

Rating: Summary: Higher per-minute rates, but excellent coverage Review: I've done lots of research on prepaid cellular plans. They're certainly not for everyone, but for the occasional user (average less than 80 minutes per month), they make a lot of sense. You can have cellular service for as little as seven dollars per month, and unused minutes roll-over each time you buy new airtime (which you're required to do every 45 days). AT&T's per-minute rates are unfortunately just about the highest in the business (with the possible exception of Tracfone); however, AT&T's coverage is excellent. My wife has Sprint PCS service and often has no service when my AT&T service works fine. If you want to use your phone in case of emergencies, you want to have the best odds of actually having cellular service wherever the emergency might happen, and AT&T Wireless seems to provide the best I've found. To summarize the major prepaid wireless services: Tracfone offers excellent coverage, but mostly at higher per-minute rates than AT&T. Their annual service can be had for a small price, but at higher per-minute rates than AT&T. Airtime cards with shorter expiration offer good per-minute rates, but require a minimum purchase of $10-25 per month. Also, if you travel, Tracfone's per-minute rates double outside of your local service area. Virgin Mobile has better per-minute rates than AT&T (25 cents per minute for the first 10 minutes each day; 10 cents per minute thereafter), but fails on coverage. Virgin service only works on the Sprint PCS network and cannot roam onto other CDMA carriers or onto analog service (which is common in rural areas). T-Mobile has okay per-minute rates, but has a higher minimum purchase (at least $20 per month). T-Mobile also does not roam to analog service. While not available on Amazon, Verizon Wireless prepaid service has excellent per-minute rates and very good coverage (including analog roaming), but requires a minimum $15 per month purchase to maintain service. And here's a cost-saving tip: You can use any AT&T TDMA phone with their Free2Go prepaid service. Rather than pay for their Free2Go phone, check with your family or friends who recently upgraded their AT&T phone and use their old phone, or buy an inexpensive one from an online auction site (you should be able to find a full setup for under [$]. That makes your initial outlay really inexpensive!
Rating: Summary: I love $10 refill cards Review: So cheap to keep your service active. I love my prepaid service with AT&T. I buy my $10 card at an AT&T wireless store. You can also buy them online or by phone. Most stores sell the $25 card and up.
Rating: Summary: Exactly what I need Review: This plan is good because I only need it to communicate with family members while one of us is away. I do not need a plan that gives me hundreds of minutes just so I can chat in the car or at the grocery store, I do my chatting on my home phone. Also, you can get cards cheaper, ebay has a seller that sells the $100 card for $95 and I get text messages from AT&T wireless for 10% savings on refills. I am happy with the plan and it gives me peace of mind when I am out traveling, I always have it there for emergencies. Also, I bought my phone from HSN and it only cost $21.00 after the two rebates, It cost $99 at Target, so shop around!
Rating: Summary: GOOD BUT NOT GOOD! Review: This would be an excellant deal except the time expires every 45 days and that is a pain for someone that dosn't talk much. Overall i would not get the phone or the ...card unless you talk alot on the phone.
