Review: First of all, I'd like to say I'm frustrated--I paid full price for mine. Hence, when I saw the price, I had to do a triple take to make sure I wasn't looking at a generic version.

If you're getting a car charger, make sure to get a Motorola OEM version. I talked to a couple people at Nextel and they said the generic ones are dangerous. Quoting the Cincinnati phone tech, "I've seen hundred's and hundreds of phones fried from the generic chargers. The fuses are screwy and the wrong voltage hits your phones. I even saw a lady stick her phone between the seats of her Caddy using a generic one and it caught the seats on fire and melted the phone."

Another tidbit I learned from the tech. Only charge your battery in the car when it's down to 1 bar. Try not to make a habit of throwing it on the charger every second you're in the car. The specs on the Lithium Ion batteries from Motorola are about 500 recharges. Then the charge it holds starts declining. When you charge your phone powered off, it uses 1 recharge that night. When you charge it powered on, it scrolls through the charge cycles and shortens the life of your battery.

Best of all, Nextel warranties this charger. Take it in if you do something stupid and break it--they'll give you another one no questions asked.

Lastly, the cigarette lighter OEM is a 'rapid charger' using DC current. It will charge your phone from completely dead to full charge in 45 minutes if you have the phone turned off. Just thought you'd like to know.

Summary: Motorola Cigarette Lighter Adapter for Motorola V60
Review: Got this one because the shop gave me a cheap no-name brand car charger that doesn't fit the phone correctly. Don't be ripped by imitations...buy Motorola!

Review: I loved this charger. I would say it charged in 30minutes to an hour, and that was with the phone on!! Get it!

Summary: Motorola
Review: I purchased this to charge my Motorola V120 while on the go. They could have designed it a little better to fit into all cig lighters. With the way cig ligthers are in car anymore (in weird hard to get to places) the design of this charger makes it harder to get into some of them without fooling around making it fit.

Summary: Simple, useful, it's just a cord
Review: I wish the car accessory world would move away from these clunky cigarette lighter electronics. It's like using an 8-track tape player adapter long after all the 8-tracks no longer play ;-)

Actually, I appreciate that this adapter can plug in while the phone is still in it's belt clip. Why? Not because I plug it in while the clip is on my belt, but because it's such a pain to get the phone out of the clip! (see other review).

Summary: A Must Have
Review: In sales, I spend much of my time in the car. Whenever I'm in the car, and not using the phone, it's plugged in and charging. I've lost the need to charge the phone at home. It's a must have and a great convenience.

Summary: All around a good buy..
Review: It does what it's supposed to do and does it for a reasonable price. The last car charger I had felt cheap and hollow and wouldn't stay put in my lighter. This one seems to be a fairly well-built one. I have 2 vehicles with a few VERY oddly situated lighters. This adapter has no problem in either, and for that I'm elated. 5 stars!
