Summary: Fashionable but very functional Hands Free talking!
Review:

Bluetooth is a great idea. Hands free talking whilst on our cell phones; it's a gift from God for those of us who are surgically attached to our cell phones...guilty as charged your honour!

It took me a little while to work out how to get the head set working, you need some deft finger work on the cell phone itself to get it linked up and once the ear phone is on your ear it is pretty comfortable to wear but it can be fiddly to put in place until you get the hang of it!

The handset is dinky enough to pop into your purse or a pocket when not in use but be sure you don't sit on it, and whilst driving it is an absolute must.

I got my Bluetooth with my cell phone as a free accessory which was pretty neat but I have to admit I would have liked more comprehensive instructions on how to get it working with the phone as you would get if you bought it separately.

However that is just a minor hiccup, all in all the headset is great, you can hear what is being said to you quite clearly when it is in situ, and the person speaking to you can hear you equally in turn, so it is a pretty powerful bit of technology, hence the price and it costs the same over here in the UK too!

If you are a driver, then this is a must, but even if you aren't it is pretty cool so go out and get it, it certainly beats the old hands free sets, you know the ones that were like bricks and sounded like you were talking with a nasal clamp on your snozz!

Summary: Great... when it works.
Review: I have a V600 and I think this headset is the perfect match for it. Once you set up voice dialing you almost never have to reach for the phone again. All it takes is a tap on the headset to get things going. That being said, when I first picked one up it had less then great audio so I exchanged it for another. The next unit sounded great, but had a loose piece inside that was very annoying considering its proximity to the ear. I could have returned it, but I gave it one more chance and did another exchange. I've had the third unit for a little while now and it seems to have none of the problems the others did. In conclusion, make sure you can return it easily from wherever you purchase it, and once you get a good one it will be hard to let go. A great product with possible substandard quality control.

Summary: A Beauty to wear!
Review: More than the convenience, at this point, this phone is attracting conversation in book stores and Electronic stores that I frequent. I hang it around my neck (Neck strap included with packaging) and many curious people ask, "is that a miniature phone?" Well, it's a wireless headset, I say. A Best Buy salesman even said, "I envy you!".

Anyway, that's the non-essential part. Now for the usefulness:
It's great when I need to talk while driving. Very convenient. But if you are not wearing it when you get a call, it's quite dangerous to take it out of your neckstrap/glovebox/seat and wear it on your ear. I don't find it very easy to slip it on my ear - certainly at least not easy while driving.

If you are in Sales/Marketing and similar professions where you expect a lot of calls (receiving/sending), then this is the device for you, because I'd say you will soon get used to just wearing it around your ear all the time. The cordless convenience in these scenarios can't be beat. But if you are just a gadget freak (I'm guilty here), and got it just for the technology, then, well, chances are, you may not be using it all the time. (Works great to create an impression though!).

If your phone supports voice recognition, then making calls is easy with this headset - just say the name and about three seconds later (in the case of Motorola V600 phone), the phone will start dialing your number. (You will not like the 3 second delay at first, but you will probably get used to it quickly). To receive calls, just extend the mic boom and the headset connects to your phone. But if you are already wearing this headset over your ear, then the boom is always extended (and I think the battery is probably being drained in this position) - you have to press a little button on the side to accept an incoming call in this scenario.

I'd give 5 stars for the ultra-cool design, finish, form, voice quality and the packaging (which includes a snap off neckstrap, a really good looking pouch and a charger)
I'd give 3 stars for the practicality of this thing. (No fault of Motorola here. Just comes with the headphone territory). As I said, for some people, this wireless convenience really works.

I'll keep mine. When not actively using it, it at least keeps the Sales kids in Best Buy really talking shop with me. I guess they look at me as an "early adopter" and a tech savvy guy (which I am ;>) )

ps. Finally, for the kids out there, whether you use a handsfree set or a phone, talking while driving is distracting and is considered dangerous by many. So please use discretion!
